In Michigan they just made it legal but we can only play with people in are state so it limits the number of players. Plus we are waiting for poker sites to make contract with state so we cant play yet.

Took PA. almost a year to get Poker Stars up and running. Now it has been since June and no other site has started up. Not thrilled with what Stars has to offer.

I think that poker has space to grow in countries... live tournaments evolve several others areas, like events, tourism, hotel, etc...

On the day that poker has recognized the intellectual form of sport, there will be a huge round of development ...

I think it is already quite globalized, but so do not allow casinos, there is online poker, which I think is the one that really had a boom

I don't know if another poker boom will happen because many countries are restricting or literally blocking many websites that offer sports betting, poker and casino.

boom time

Its always possible, but also i realize that even though i spend a lot of my time playing ,thinking , dreaming poker, the bulk of humanity may not be concerned, and to get politicians on board is another piece of the online puzzle (thinking of USA right now)

It just takes one motivated big shot to start the ball rolling.
It can happen.

I don't believe that, poker has had its moment of greatness. I don't say that things can get worse, but just like before it won't be anymore.

In my country poker is pretty illegal. You may play only in some official tournaments in casinos, but there is a huge % tax from price.
But still know alot of ppl playing online or live at homes.
Whats funny, sport-bets are legal. Thats why I hope our country will change some rules and then we will have a huge market for online and live poker.
I believe that "boom" will make it happend.

in the USA

more states are starting to allow online poker . if others adopt legal guidelines soon , and they start sharing multi- state pools , we could see another mini boom online . if the international market ever legally reopens for American players there might be a real surge in activity . unfortunately ,all the major online sites ( and brink + mortar casinos as well of course ) are raking all action so hard that the life blood may be sucked right out of the game !

I think not only poker but specifically online poker, because of this unexpected situation that we are passing, many online things will get up force and increase on their percentage

I think after all is said and done this will be great for online. You will get people who fancied a dabble during quarantine having another dabble again. Hopefully a tonne more recreational players are to come from this. I think if that’s the case then some poker rooms may possibly be able to make an arguement for reducing the rake slightly. It’s shaky if it will happen but u think it’s a possibility. Even if that wasn’t the case though with the recreational pool of players growing then a fair amount of games will become a lot softer. There will be massive amounts of action in the casinos I think as well. People will definitely miss the live action

Do you think we can expect a revolution in poker? Such as it was in the early 2000s.
Will he allowed all over the world?
Why do some countries forbid to play casino?

No chance.

Boom

We are now in Russia, everything is confused with online poker. Something was allowed, other things are prohibited. Sochi Poker Stars, you play freely. But if you want to go to the official Star website, they will immediately block you, the law prohibits you. Here is such nonsense. You have to use VPN programs to bypass the block.

I think that soon poker will be resolved all over the world again, these are just unfortunate circumstances, like Black Friday and that’s all.:)
