Gradually, move into larger tournaments.
The more players there are in the tournaments, the greater the game variance and the longer the time.
In games with fewer players, you can get through all the stages of a tournament in a short amount of time, which isn't realistic when we're talking about very large tournaments, where sometimes we can't even reach the money.
Another great thing about smaller tournaments is that you can get used to the final table dynamic, as it's different from the one used throughout the tournament, because each player who falls means a jump in the money.
