I honestly don't trust some poker Apps, so today I only use pokerstars, because I think it would be very stupid of them to manipulate a game where they have a lot of customers, but I confess that I lost a tournament with KK vs A7o, but I believe that it was a badbet.

Thank you Debi for this very useful information. I believe that as long as people don't try to understand the poker game correctly, there will always be people who wrongly claim that people are cheating on the poker sites. Of course, there have already been cases where fraud has been carried out, but the sites that have built up a reputation over the years would certainly not do so

I think that poker room are safe and owner honest. But I hope poker room software code are strong enough to prevent cheating from players . I don't trust and never I will use any existing 3rd party App like head up display. I think that all those app can open a door, if it give access to our hand history, can we be sure that it don't open a door directly to our cards in hand ? I trust the room but not all players.

Many players make this claim when they suffer a series of bad beats — we get our share of it here.

Let's discuss it seriously. Read this article:

Is online poker safe or rigged?

There is some really good information in this article that explains some of the misconceptions players have.

What I see the most is players having a bad day or even a bad week — or they make a lot of wrong decisions — and they immediately think the game is cheating on them.

They'll post hands and say, “That can't happen!” - and I know right away that they've never played live poker before. I've been playing live poker for about 10 years and have experienced everything in a situation where it's impossible to manipulate.

What are your thoughts?

(ps — this isn't the right place to post your Bad Beat hands!)
I'm sure that a large number of players believe that the game is manipulated in some way, whether because of their sitting position or because they were a bit lucky before and the casino doesn't want to give them more for various reasons. But you're right, when someone plays live poker for a while, you sometimes see situations that are even more absurd or unbelievable than some online, which are certainly not the result of fraud.

i have grown as a player to understand that the game isnt rigged its our thought process and decision making , and we have to realize that any hand can be beaten, ive seen it happen live reasons why bad beats happen so often online is because there are thousands more hands being dealt, learn as a play grow, first of all you need to have a betting strategy and know how to collect info from players all players have a tells

Here is a perfect example of a cheater defending online poker sites LOL online poker is a computer program, computer programs can be and are manipulated.
your complaining that on ACR you dont win and people use range charts thats it's not like a casino where you can see you're opponents cards if the table is over crowded

Doesn't take a whole lot of brains to figure this out, my advice is to watch those players that always run the clock all the way down before playing the hand and also seem to never lose the hands they play.
some people run the clock so that they can min cash in games if they are short medum stack before the bubble

I play on PokerStars and when i see a general number of hands i understand that even two royal flushes in a row is possible situation because in this cause their frequency will not change so much.

Very good article Debi. https://www.cardschat.com/strategy/online-poker-safe-or-rigged/
I really don't think online poker is that corrupt.
I saw this when I saw my first wsop tournament on TV, at that time I thought there were situations especially the Bad-Beats that said “it can't be that good luck is the opponent”. When I started seeing my hands at the WSOP MTT I realized that live or online situations are similar. The difference is that there are fewer live tournaments and online you play several tournaments daily.
There was another situation that made me doubt and that was that if you were there before, a player who had more stacks than yours would always lose to him. This also ruled out the day when at a table with 32 players and I had 32 with 2 bb I won an Allin and then ended up winning the tournament.
I mean, if I believe both online and live. If that day is your real day it's really hard for someone to win hahahaha
Best regards friend:):):)

they also had a downswings like we a amateur/recreational players. but diffrence is that we are playing to less hands then pros. so its hard to belive that badluch/downswing end. but i tell you a mystery, after rain comes sun

I don't think poker is rigged. But even professional poker players can have a very long streak of losing. bankroll management is vital.

If online poker is rigged then all online games are rigged. I would like to see you explain how online chess is rigged.

I have to pay more attention, obviously. I knew we had “rigged” discussions all over the place but did not realize that the Cardschat Administrator was at the root of it all.

I definitely need to pay more attention to the details.

Anyway, clearly online poker is not rigged. Why rig something that is already so heavily in the house’s favour? Would make absolutely no sense.

Would be like banning bad guys from Speakeasy’s during prohibition.

I think that twisted, because in 80% of cases, when I initially have a better card than the enemy, he gets a hard card on the river and he moves me!

Ha! That was me creating a single thread (instead there being hundreds) where serious discussions on the topic could be kept - not me agreeing with it at all. I have never seen a single legit reason mentioned by anyone what the motivation would be for a major poker site to rig the game.

People give a lot of importance to bad beats when they are harmed but when bad beats harm others and they favor them then they think: ''I'm a very good player''. It's happened that I get saved by a bad beat 3 times in a row and then take a bad beat myself and leave the tournament. But I pay more attention to the one that harmed me than the three that favored me...

You're talking about bad beats. Seems to happen a lot online but if you think about it, it's probably because you're playing many many poker hands. I was playing a home game last Saturday and got hosed on an all in of my AQ against a Q9 on the river. It happens in real life, just like online.

Hello, I have been playing online for many years and I have seen a lot of incredible hands in my favor or against me. I don't think the system is rigged. But I do think that the soft is ready for me to win a certain position at the table and will win with any hand even 4-2 against the best hand that is AA
