so the blinds increasing only once every 2hours vs. every 10minutes has nothing to do with it?

Have you ever checked out sites that will give you suggestions on how to set up your blinds vs. the number of entrants in order to estimate how long your tournament will last? (live games I'm talking about... but the same can be done for online). Wouldn't this make ALL live tourneys rigged then (by your suggestion on the timing)
I mean come on that has to be one of the most funny rigged theorys i have ever read.

Its like saying: "i play fifa regularly on my xbox and games last around 10 mins normally. Well a few days ago i was the first time in a real stadium and that game lasted like 90 minutes. Thats says it all! Fifa must be rigged!"

If he cant figure out himself after 6 years here why online tournaments last less longer than live then i really dont know what to say.

Hello. promotions and freerolls offers are tempting (.to make a deposit).
let' presume a win via freeroll. in order to withdraw ,it's necessary to roll the winnings.
Same for promotions and bonuses. It is along way..If deposit it's made good luck . anything is possible.,
one time two or more times. the Force be with you.

A lot of players make this claim when they suffer a series of bad beats - we get our share of them around here.

Let's have a serious discussion about it. Read this article:

Is online poker safe or rigged?

There is some really good information in that article that explains some of the misconceptions players have.

The thing I see the most is players having a bad day or even a bad week - or they are making a lot of wrong decisions - and they instantly think the game is cheating them.

They will post hands and say "No way should this happen!" - and I know instantly they have never played live poker. I have been playing live poker for about 10 years and I have seen it all happen in a situation where it can not possibly be rigged.

What are your thoughts?

(ps - this is not the place to post your bad beat hands!)
In fact, it's true - in live poker, there are the same bad beats, and that's a fact. It's not easy to play online either, it happens that you can't win anything for half a year, it's not up to you :)
And in general, there are many factors that affect the game, even the very mood with which you sat down to play decides more than you can imagine. Well, at least it's like that for me.

We all get bad beats, that is part of poker BUT some sites like POKER STARS have more bad beats than any other sites.

I just lost almost everything I had in a few consecutive bad beats. One would think it's all rigged, especially when opponents win with hands that make no sense at all. But that's how it works, just have to bow your head and keep playing freerolls until you can gather some chips again.

Unfortunately, any poker source is an affiliate in one way or another, and it is not reasonable to absolutely trust the information.

Rigged.... it sure isn't random.....

Face it... people who deposit money are more important to keep on line or high volume players.. generating rake...
or even free rolls ....

Where money is involved... expect everything....

Yes... I do not believe what I see on line is random... that's why I will never deposit money

I'm actually a software engineer. While I have never wrote code for poker platform, I would refuse to write any kind of code that would "rig" a game or hand.

Personally I don't feel like online poker is rigged. I've played enough live poker to see the same things live.

When I play online, I might play anywhere from 1 game to up to 6 or more.
Even just playing at one table online you are probably seeing twice the hands as in live play. So, we are just seeing more hands and seeing more of the 1-5 out rivers or runner runners that statically should not happen very often. As humans those anomalies tend to stick out more than when the cards seem to be running normal.

To prove the online game is rigged you just need a large enough sample of hands and use some software to analyze it. The proof or lack of of is in the data.

I would love to see some break downs of 1 million plus hands from online vs live games to see how the compare.
but thats what you have to say... but do you program for excitement ... action.... thrills..... Hmmmm

If anybody believes a game is rigged don't play it. Too continue is an act of futility. The facts are if you are losing you don't have the skills to be a winner.

It's only futile if you are always losing.

It is common to see that among players who for making bad decisions have bad days weeks or even months at the poker tables and are inclined to say that the systems of the rooms are tamed but when you review their history of hands the calamities are incredible.

AK looses to A5 , Flop two pair looses to a flop set... limited starting hand value....

flop flush and straight draws that never come..

Perhaps PS is fixed... Perhaps the free roll section is set up for more new winners ?

It is just too predictable to be random...

Its not that it happens... its how often it happens and who it benefits... No doubt in my mind that online poker is not truly random.

If you lose, why do you keep playing?

If its rigged, why would you even be here?

How do different sites pick the same players to win and lose?

Why does study and hard work make it unrigged for some?

Are there any other rigged games or sports that you enjoy playing?

The bad beats are a normal part of poker. When you think " bad beat" examine the hand. Many times the actual explanation is wrong playing sequence.
Use these moments to upskill your thinking and you will start using the correct skills
You will no longer be thinking poker is rigged and will enjoy the game more.

Is the Earth Flat? Did Man land on the Moon? Is On-line Poker Rigged?
Answers- NO, YES, NO, The only thing these statement's have in common is Conspiracy!
People are all too ready to call Cheat or Liar! Without any definitive Proof!
Player's all too easily fall in love with certain cards they believe are un-beatable A/A, K/K, A/K etc etc, even Daniel Negs has a favourite hand he loves to play, but in reality, any two cards can win in a poker game, and any two can lose, let that sink in and maybe you can start to understand.
Poker has many outcomes that are determined by the fact that you are playing with one deck of 52 cards that once shuffled has Thousand's of possible starting hands, I know from playing Live and On-line for over 20 years, that strange things happen in Poker but it doesn't mean that someone is cheating or a game is rigged.
It's certainly one possibility, but do I let it stop me playing Poker? NO! because the level of stakes I play for certainly wouldn't break me or make someone else Rich! It just wouldn't make sense to steal a few Cents/Dollars,
We have many Professional players playing On-line for much higher stakes, and if they felt for one minute the site was doing anything to Rig! on-line games, they would be the first to act and leave the poker site, bringing it to the Public eye letting everyone know how corrupt the site was.
I have personally beaten other players often going all-in with A/K or A/A with hands like K/Q J/10 K/10 and many many more types of hands, Why? because at some point in the game i have taken the chip lead and I am willing to gamble with practically any two cards, I once won an all-in flip with 6/2 off against A/K because when you boil it down, I know any two cards can and do sometimes WIN!
It's called LUCK! and we all know that although Poker is a game of Skill! There is always an element of Luck!
Get that into your head, stop calling poker sites Rigged! and accept that sometimes even the best starting hands can be beaten! With Garbage hand's.

That's Life! That's Poker!

Anyone who thinks online poker is rigged should stop playing because they just can't or just don't understand.

When I watch some players, it doesn't surprise me that they never win. There's more to poker than just putting AK-AQ-AA-KK or any pairs all in pre-flop and then hoping to win it's gambling, not poker.

I can only advise every beginner as long as he is not able to win in freerolls (and I am not talking about a one-off result) should rather use his money for more meaningful things.

Luckily there are enough freerolls to practice and build a bankroll thanks to CC.

So use the chances, improve yourself and learn from your mistakes and then it will work with winning.:)
