- one table
- slow
- expensive

On the other had, its has social aspect. When you are going to pub, you are also most probably "one tabling".

especially when you are not catching good cards regularly

I've frequently spent an hour or more
without getting decent cards to try a flop

it becomes so frustrating I sometimes play a weak hand
just to see if I can "get lucky"

How DARE YOU! I have played live a handful of times in my life and I gotta say...not for me. The smell of cigs everywhere you go. Drunk people everywhere. $8 for a pepsi? Id rather sit in my boxers, scratch myself, be able to poop in my own bathroom, and literally close out the game and walk away at any point in time. I never understood why people like live so much. Unless you are playing at a friends house and just enjoying good company that is a different story.

But as far as going to a casino? That's for the birds and true degens. (Just kidding, I am also a degen just at very small non important stakes hahah)

I would say if you're playing cash games, maybe.

But try tournament poker TURBO meaning you get to change tables many times.
The blinds go up every 3 minutes. Go for multi-tables.
Horse and 8 game : no time to bet bored at these games.

Really live poker is much more exciting. Online becomes something very pragmatic and monotonous, although I prefer it that way. But nothing like playing poker with friends, eating a barbecue with beer and smoking a cigarette. This has no comparison!
