Why wouldn't I? Free chips is free chips, and if they aren't there I'm gonna take their blinds.

Sure, why not? If I did raise chips will be mine automatically. Strange question..

Yes, and I don't only do this when my opponent is in sit-out. Steal is a game technique that should be studied and applied in different situations.

When sitting out, do you steal the chips

It depends on how many players are sitting at the table. If I am the only one, I will take what I can get, however if there are other players, then I take my turn winning when the cards are right for me! :icon_sant

If the BB is tight, why not steal the blinds. The fish has no point in stealing, he will call with any hand. Of course, it all depends on what kind of tournaments we play, on the playing style of our opponents in poker.

I try to steal chips when I am on the button and have the largest stack, and my opponents in the small and big blind have short stacks. Also, when the tournament is close to the bubble, then I also steal chips, provided that I have a large stack.

Yeah absolutely I would raise any two cards if there is no initial raiser before me. I do this most of the time in MTT.

Take the chips, the goal is to get all the chips and win. So, if someone is offering up their chips for free by sitting out I would be happy to oblige.

When trying to steal blinds there are a few things to consider.. If you are in the small blind, button or in the CU and no player has called or raised, then you can try to steal blinds. The gap principle applies there. You can raise with a worse hand than usual, but you need a much better hand to call a raise. But even if you just want to steal blinds and are in late position, you need a better hand than 93o. Because if someone calls you still want to have a respectable hand and not be completely lost. To steal blinds you should be able to increase at least 3 blinds, preferably 4 blinds.

Of course I do. If there is no resistance because the player is not actively participating in the game, there is no reason to give him chips for free. :)

Every time I have a sitter to my left I will always steal his blind, People say it doesn't happen in a live game but I have seen it happen. In a Casino in Manchester I bubbled, but a friend I was with played on until the break, and when they returned a player to his left did not come back.
My friend actually folded his small blind to an empty seat when no one else had limped or raised behind him, I said to him " What the hell you doing? Raise and you take his blind you idiot" Unfortunately the dealer heard me and I nearly got thrown out of the Casino.
Later he told me he only had 7/2 and he didn't like to steal blinds without something to play with and he was too honest just to play hands he wouldn't play normally.
I still call him an Idiot and we are still friends, but had it been me in that position I would be raising and showing the table 7/2 off every time.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

Undoubtedly, an opportunity like this should be well explored. A minimum increase in the call and it is already filling our pot.

Sure, this is the easiest way to collect tokens :) I remember when there were freerolls on fulltiltpoker and it often happened that the whole table was sit-out: P

You should always pay attetion to this. I have seen people folding in the small blind because they were not watching or using the "Auto-Fold" button too early. Maybe thinking someone else will raise.
