recently ive been making the msitake of depositing small amounts like $10-$30 and wanting to play $1-$4 tournaments which i have come to realise is poor bankroll management... so dependant on what games you want to play, ive been shown that a solid 200+ average entry for tournaments and say 50 max buyins for cash games.. please anyone correct me if i am wrong but i feel this is fair to say

Yes, what you quote is great bankroll manager for micro-small-lower midstakes.

Especially if you have an edge of 4-5bb/100 atleast in cash, or 10-15% EV in mtt.

And well if someone does not have an edge on the field and will not have one in the close future(not taking coaching/training.) then it does not even matter thinking about these as the question is only do I lose my deposit in 1 week, or 2?


By the way my own experience, never completely followed brm as I only used online play as training. And deposits for this purpose were never big enough to apply brm and not get bored. I deposited around 3-4k total I think over last 3-4 years, in smaller increments. Overall I am a small winner in my main poker games(5-55 NLH bounty mtts, shortdeck cash, short handed cash...) but I always either spent it on life things, lost it on online roulette or some way-too-huge for bankroll kind of football bet got lost with a goal scored in 93th minute :joyman:

Whenever I tell people this answer, I will usually be called a liar and some other not nice names. That is OK , I have thick skin, words do not hurt me.

I joined CC 5 years ago, I had a terrible work accident and was off my feet for a good while. Besides Physical Therapy, the only thing I did was play poker. I was collecting workmen compensation during my rehab and medical but I did not have too much extra money to lose playing poker. I played the freerolls for a full year, every day and my first year at CC I scored a 2nd or 3rd in a couple of the year end $5000 gtd. 1 on ACR and I think BOL. This was where my bankroll began, no deposit. I guess 2 years ago, PokerStars came to PA , and I did deposit $50 and they gave a free $30 with any deposit. That has been my deposits. I have money enough to play on ACR, StarsPA, BOL, and SportsBet. I have even made withdrawals from ACR and StarsPA, the other sites will not allow withdrawals until deposit. Except Intertops - I won't even discuss them here.

There's a minimum amount that needs to be paid to get the money out of the account. This amount depends on several types of transfer methods... Depending on what you're paying for... Skrillr, Paysef, neteller, rapid. It could be anything. You have to verify your account first. Until it's done, they're holding back the money. At least that's how it was with me.
