PokerStars is better, but if you want to play freeroll, 888poker is a good choice. Although I don't like 888poker especially in withdrawal it's very slow and I no longer withdraw via Skrill recently.

888 Poker is probably the worst site, the only thing good about it, is that there are a lot of weak players, because they don't know how bad the benefits/rake are compared to other sites.

888Poker is best for someone just starting out because of the variety of freerolls it offers, but PokerStars has better offers in terms of tournaments, cash, spins and sit & go.

I play in both, and I am having better results in 888, because the prize is better distributed. So I keep the 888.

Pokerstars is still the room, let's say, more convenient to see graphics and playability (although that of aurora for me does not help) 888poker in this last time has been improving something nice and good by having less traffic there are good chances of collecting bank. But I'm staying with Pokerstars for the moment.

Pokerstars is still the leader in poker in software and games selection !!! It is difficult to compare the leader and the one running far behind !!! There are some games that I am ready to play on 888, but these are just some games that are not so common !!!

One guy even listed his rankings of the two sites. Included cashing out as one of his rankings. He didn’t go into super detail but at least he had some opinions about different things

I should know better but it always makes me shake my head. This place is a freeroll forum. And that’s the fuel that this place runs on.

More to a site than freerolls, people. Better reasons than a $50 roll once a day for preferring one site over another. At least the OP compares two legit sites and not some third world Bitcoin fueled bush league place.

In terms of the quality of software and a large number of games, Pokerstars is, of course, the leader.

The value of the freerolls are like 13cents a ticket lol.

Too me it's like who cares. I could walk outside and probably find 13cents on the side walk in 12 seconds lol.

Finally I find it a little annoying, that you can not hide satellites from the 888 Poker lobby after the update.

Have to correct myself here. It turns out, you actually can. You just need to select "regular" as well as "special", and then all the normal MTTs will be displayed but not the satellites.

However after playing a bit more on 888 after the update, it has become clear to me, that game selection has become a real problem for microstakes MTT players. A lot of the 2-5$ MTTs have been taken down, and some of the 2,2$ R+As have been changed to 3,3$ R+As.

The bar has definitely been raised, and where you could reasonably start with a 500$ bankroll before, now I would actually recommend something closer to 1.500$, unless you are satisfied with playing only 1-2 MTTs at a time.

So choosing between these two sites I will definitely say, that PokerStars is much more beginner friendly. It was always the better site for micro stakes cash games and SnGs, and now its also the better site for micro stakes MTTs, because 888 Poker simply dont have enough of them left.

Once you have reached low and mid stakes MTTs however, 888 Poker is definitely still worth checking out. Some of the events are still rather soft, and right now its also pretty easy to find some overlays here and there
