I'm certain it will do nothing (when does Pokerstars listen or care about their customers?)

Maybe if they are bombarded by 1,000's of messages, emails, comments they will reconsider their choice with the Aurora Graphics???

OR... maybe if 1,000's of players choose to stop playing on the site???

Today I am going to remove 90% of my bankroll from the site. It is no longer comfortable for me to play with the new software. I will leave enough to play a few hands of micro stakes.

If I removed my bankroll or chose not to play at every site that did things I didn't like, I'd have nowhere left to play, which is actually a very good idea!

I have been banging on about how much I hate this forced update in the league tonight, I don't like change at the best of times, and I am also for the motto if it's not broken don't fix it!!!

I am seriously hoping pokerstars puts their customers first and let people revert it back to the old version, but I don't think they will

The Graphics Quality setting didn't seem to make any difference so I left it at "high".

I'd already put the settings this way too. I don't see it making any difference.

There are still loads of places I play at. I'm not good enough to be able to play in all of the available tournaments at the buyin I play at and am always cherry-picking the ones I feel are best suited for me. I typically aim for playing 12 tables if playing a schedule of tourneys. It is easy to add in 3 from Ipoker, 2 or 3 from 888poker, 2 from GGPoker, 3 or 4 from Partypoker.... not to mention WPN (ACR & BC). One of the things I appreciated most about playing tournaments on Stars as well is that the software was nice & smooth and VERY EASY to read/see the tables! (some of the others aren't the greatest... ie. sizing on 888 is a tiny bit off, iPoker a HUD has to be re-adjusted at almost every table change (< even though I only use one half the time... it is still an inconvenience if I'm choosing to)... .but now for me, Stars is the worst looking of all of them

I'm pretty computer literate and I have no idea what you're saying us dumb folks will never manage to figure out.

You got me wrong. Look post nr 19 there is a graffic attached. Go to said order, delete all the files in it and THEN start the software. Its really really not that difficult man. You have to repeat this step everytime you want to open the client.

Dude its not rocket science. Just go to that folder and delete the files before u start the software. Even the dumbest of dumb will manage to do this.

If you read my post correctly i said that im not saying you are dumb. Are you for real now and you really have problems following those simple steps in the graphic? If so answer me with "yes" and i will explain it to you.

I was so angry the whole CC freeroll, cannot concentrate. My computer was so slow, and it is close to impossible, to multi-tableing. This is the worst thing that they can came up with. Most of all liked the simple graphics which was easy for the devices....and pretty enough 4 the eyes.

I turned off several times aurora but nothing happened. Even my BOL-SB launcher disappeared somewhere. To be honest I have so much technical issues right now without doing anything, and that's the most worrying part.

I just got this notice as well. I cant play multiple tables with this forced upon me and I cant even watch YouTube and play a single table simultaneously. I dont want to have to purchase a new computer. I may have to write them and complain.

I have said this many times in the past, "computer software is now being developed by people with no experience in the real world". Please don't get me started on Microsoft, Facebook etc.

Glad to hear it's not just me who couldn't find the "Detach Chat" button. I also find it impossible to scroll in the small chat window with my track pad now, so if I don't see it right away, I'm not going to see it at all.

For anyone playing on lower spec hardware, or who find the Aurora engine causes system performance issues, or even people who prefer the basic table without the bloat, I just received a message on logging in that the legacy table option has now been removed and only Aurora will be available going forward.

Fortunately it seems you can still reduce some settings and disable the stupid throwables if you want to, but as yet I've not tried it on a slow machine, which may well no longer be possible.

Everything is accelerating. New versions of Skype are also bad or do not work at all on older PCs. So you need to buy more powerful PCs, because software manufacturers do not care about our problems. They strive to offer a better environment to use.

Same here. I used to rave about the Stars software. Those of us who don't have 20/20 vision appreciated the excellent design of the old table display.

Plus, I always used to manually type in my bet amounts. The new display makes that very difficult to do.

They definitely took a step backwards with this change. Hopefully it's not the first of many backwards steps.

I can see them losing a lot of players with this update, and not because they don't like it, but they are unable to play. Not everyone is in a position to spend money on a new computer and that is likely to be more so with the current situation.

If they lose too much traffic I can see them bringing out a "lite" client, but by then it may be too late.

Back when PKR was a thing, they brought out a PKR lite for people who didn't meet the system requirements. The odd thing is that the full PKR experience ran fine on far more modest hardware than Pokerstars now needs, and it had a lot more going on graphics wise.

PokerStars messaged me after my @ClintFromNYtoVA Twitter post on the issue.

They suggested all of the things we already know and said there were less issues on the Carbon layout setting so I will try this but I imagine it will still use up my GPU resources.

They said if you are still having issues to send LOG FILES. I recommend everyone complain this way. They are forced to review all log files sent, so this is the most effective way to complain.

I have i5 processor, 8gb ram, ssd disk as well and can't play 4 tables, with old graphics I played 10+ without any problem. Also hole cards are so small, buttons do not respond always, text is also small to read and etc,etc..

I was not accessing the pokerstars platform all week, and today when I log in, in addition to being updated with the AURORA graphics engine, the program is very unstable and everything freezes.

the only option for this not to happen is to delete the folder everything that is inside the IMGCACHE folder

C: \ Users \ User \ AppData \ Local \ PokerStars \ ImgCache

I had a need to use my old slow laptop for the CC freeroll tonight. When I last used it I had left stars open and just hibernated the laptop by closing the lid. Today it's still on the old system with no Aurora. I've done the same again. I assume if I close stars and restart it will then go to the new system. Obviously that will happen in the end, whether it's by stars forcing an update or Windows update or something else needing a shutdown. I was all ready to test aurora on minimum settings but delayed this now until I'm forced.

They MUST know that there will be LOTS of customers who will be very upset by this and many who won't even be able to play.

This is exactly what happened to me...
I've played on my tablet every single day for the past 2 years and everything worked great, even with the selected Aurora graphics. And now, for almost a whole week, i can't even log into the room... And, probably, i'm not the only one... Why lose rake? ... )))

Apparently, one of the streamers who is on Stars team(innerpsy) has been able to disable Aurora Graphics. (I'm not sure how to do it though & haven't tried it yet)
