Yes, the Pokerstars freerolls are not like they use to be.

I used to enjoy the Astronomer qualifying freerolls, where I learnt to play Razz, Horse, Stud Hi Lo, etc. Also managed to win the odd dollar in the weekend $2,000 finals as well.

They also introduced an Australasian league and later a New Zealand league, with the top one hundred getting paid. Now that was really easy money.

Those were the days. But at the end of the day it’s a business, and like any business, they must make money or go out of business.

I loved those games. It was so easy to win a ticket with Stud Hi/Lo and 2-7 NL Single draw. So many people had no clue how how to play them it was easy to get a deep stack fast.
