We all got the message when we logged in last month that on 1st Oct we'd be automatically upgraded to PS7. I seem to remember a message saying that this was no longer happening. Do you have any idea when it will be happening? The reason I'm asking is that it takes me forever to use notecaddy to synchronise notes, colours etc... and if I'm forewarned then I'll put a day aside to do all this.

Certain regulated markets (such as .ee and .dk) are being automatically upgraded to PS7 starting today, so I expect the transition to happen soon but unfortunately I can't give you a precise date for .COM.

Dylan

Not sure if someone asked this already:
If playing a satelite tournament and you win the ticket it automaticly registers you for the target tournament. I understand this if there only one tournament of this kind. But it isn't nice to 'drop/ditch' a satty winner into a tournament which is already running for over an hour and leave me there with 12 big blinds. I understand that you do this so people don't cash out their ticket but it isn't hard to turn this into a ticket instead of cash right? It is frustrating to win a satelite and get in to the main tournament shortstacked. Also if you play a satty for 4 hours you might want to take a break and play the tournament the next day. I am sure pokerstars, the best poker software in the world, is able to fix this.

It should be stated in the satellite lobby which tournament it's for, but I understand your concerns. We have recently reviewed some of our satellites (specifically for the Bigs) and tweaked their start times in order to address the issue of them bleeding deep into late-registration.

If you provide an example (s) of tournaments where you've had this problem, I'll have the tournaments team examine the satellite schedule for it and see if it can be improved to address this.

Many thanks,
Dylan

I am not happy right now, I was in a tourney running in 6th place and it had no all in protection which I understood, I called a bet which put me all in and I got disconnected as soon as I called, keep in mind that I had 70 seconds in my time bank, I reconnected about 20 seconds later and I was out of the tourney, I looked at the chat and all I was given was 14 seconds and then my hand was folded, why wasn't my time bank activated instead of my hand being folded.

Hi Zorba,

I spoke with the tournaments team, and one of the reasons they gave to support how it currently functions is because alternatively, if the timebank were activated upon disconnection, a player could lose their entire tournament timebank from one disconnect. I understand your frustration given the end result in your instance, and I have passed on the feedback to the team for their consideration.

Thanks,
Dylan

Yesterday someone at my table disconnected and his whole timebank (Nearly 10 minutes time bank) was used. After this, he also got extra time added to reconnect. We were almost playing for 15 minutes now, after the break, and still no hand was played. But then, in each hand the guy who did not have connection passed him to act, the server gave him time again to act. Shouldn't pokerstars, after 15 minutes to reconnect (10min. time bank and also time added) sit him out instead of passing him every hand and wait on him to act? This slowed down the tournament, but also the hands played/level.

I would rather lose my timebank than get KOed while holding AA and getting it in good, that was a big penalty for being disconnected for only 20 secs, and the other guy got rewarded for doing nothing.

I have lost count how many times I have had to wait while others have time added for them to reconnect, granted this game had no all in protection so according to the rules I have no leg to stand on, maybe for the fairness of all players the No All In Protection rule should be scraped.

There seem to be connectivity issues with Stars lately.

Anyway, I have a different question: What is the play though requirement for money deposited via Skrill? I have read on the forums that some people had trouble withdrawing due to "insufficient activity".

I never had any problems myself (was a Platinum VIP for a while so meh) but one of my friends wants to know this and he would be a recreational type low volume player.

Exact formula would be great so I can put it through that calculator you have on the Website and then tell him the ballpark figure on number of hands he needs to play/amount of VPPs/time period.

I am not talking about First Deposit 600 USD max bonus since he did the Free 20$ thingy (and didn't go far with it :p but I have been teaching him and I think he should do better next time around).

Hi LD1977,

There isn't a precise formula in terms of VPP requirements. Basically, because we are a poker site and not a money-transfering service or bank, our security will flag and ask for more information if there is unusual behavior like deposit/cashouts with no play. But if your friend deposits with Skrill and plays, he shouldn't have any problem making a withdrawal.

Hope that helps,
Dylan

Hi Zorba,

Apologies, wasn't intentionally ignoring your post. For refund requests, please contact [email protected] as we have staff dedicated to handling these situations. If possible, try to include as much information as you have on the hands (hand no. etc.) to help them investigate the case.

Best of luck,
Dylan

Thank you, sorry if I came off a bit brash, just frustrated with the software ever since the spin and go's have been added, I've never had a problem with it till then, it regularly shuts down and regularly stops responding for a min or so, and always when I would have won.

I never had disconnection or slowdown on PS, until the spin and go's came. Like you, many many times has my hand been folded and the network connection has always indicated the fault is with the PS site on the Isle of Man, all the other telecom connections are at 100%. Very frustrating.

It is so frustrating especially when you get it in good, has happened to me more than a few times now.

With the new added 2.5% on currency conversion, is there a way I can avoid this added fee at all?

I am Canadian, so there is an option to have my funds in $CAD but what would be the impact of doing that? If I play a $US buyin would conversion be automatic (without the fee)?

If my PokerStars account is in $CAD and FullTilt is in $USD how can I make a transfer?

By the way, if I convert funds within PokerStars (i.e. no deposit or cashout), is there a fee involved?

hi i get the impression with recent comments from pokerstars staff and the recent changes that Stars has an anti pro stance now.

regardless of whatever success i have or have not achieved in the past my prime aim in playing on your site is to be profitable and make money.

what is your attitude to long term profitable players now?
