Just received this from Carbon...

"From: Account Management
Date: Today at 11:24AM EDT
Subject: In relation to your account.

Message:
Dear Rich,

Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to offer our services in your jurisdiction as of September 30th 2014. Please log into your account and request a withdrawal for any remaining balance.

Regards,

The Account Management Team"

I have $30 dollars on there but this is less than the minimum withdrawal. Have asked support if they'll let me withdraw or not !?

Don't know but this may possibly be related to the recent tax changes in the UK. Pokerstars.fr and some other sites have just pulled out of the UK because they were going to be double-taxed heavily in both jurisdictions.

I knew carbon would kick us out when after this new regulation.

Can you transfer money over to another player on Carbon? I only have $18.

I don't think they do player transfers.

I'm also guessing they won't let us withdraw without depositing first. Min deposit $25.00. Not sure I like the idea of depositing into a poker room that is closing my account in 6 days.

Don't think we'll see this money again ! Any US players fancy some HU SNG (wink, wink).

Nah Rich, you can withdraw without depositing from there, but yeah the minimum withdrawal is $60 I think?

Okay, in that case maybe they'll let us withdraw with less than minimum as an exceptional circumstance ? I've messaged support to ask them if they'll do it.

I am not really bothered about the money or the fact they are kicking us out.

I just wanted someone to use that money.

I will ask support if they will transfer it over, if not I will tell them to give it to charity :)

I got the email today, I had the grand total of $8 there. Went on to a cash table and dumped it so at least players got it and not carbon.

Big news for Carbon, I really don't care if you don't want me, I can play in many better places.

This is the reply I got

Dear Sarah,
Thank you for contacting us.
This is a quick email in regards of your recent account inquiry, to inform you that unfortunately, player to player transfers are not allowed as this would go against our security policies. We're sorry if this causes any inconvenience.
Keep in mind that you have time till September 30th 2014 to use your gaming account.
Have a nice day, Sarah!
We are always here to help you. Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any additional questions in relation to this or any other matter. Your reference ID for this email is LTK17134013094864X; please quote this number in any further communication on this subject.
Kind regards,
Pam Stevens

Do you think they would send it to charity if I asked them? If not I will play some cash games too and hopefully TU so I can withdraw. I have 6 days to make a grand, now that would be nice.

you could always play against other UK players (cough cough) and funds withdrawn and redistributed via skrill. you may have your account banned and funds seized though if caught.......erm big deterrent lol alternative is depositing enough to satisfy the min withdrawal. when i asked them they said there is no playthrough on deposits before withdrawal.Just gotta wait for my accounts to be id verified .....72 hours yeah ......just think how many people will be swamping carbon support to get the verification done so that they can withdraw.

The charity they will most likely choose is Carbon poker.

This sounds like a plan, just don't rush the game and it could be done.

Hmmm, do you guys think there's a reason why I haven't got an email from Carbon? Is it just because I haven't got any funds in my account atm? I've deposited and withdrew so I think they should've sent me that email if I can't use their services again. I got an email about the UK thing from full tilt but not them.
I sure hope I can play there, I love their software and stuff, hopefully they just don't stop my rights! Fingers crossed!

yes, it might be because you haven't got any funds in there ?

however, it would be courteous to notify you, in case you were thinking of depositing in the next few days ? or maybe they wouldn't mind if you did ;-)

Yeah, other people who don't have funds also didn't get the message. That makes me believe that we can still play on the site on freerolls and things but not deposit/withdraw after the 30th.
