What do you prefer: GGPoker or PokerStars?

PokerStars exists way longer than GG and is still most trustworthy, maybe lost some % after Amaya takeover, but not much.
Also GG (the comic poker room from Asia) has only 6max cash games, I dont understand why they don't have normal regular ring games.
As mentioned in the posts before me, Stars is faster with the cashouts.
And then there is this problem with the installation and the updates, always this error messsage "failed to patch" and because of that a lot of players simply cannot play in this room. (the internet is full of complaints)
Last but not least they have shieeetty conditions for germans in the rake tax terms.

I hereby speak without much knowledge but with some experience. They're both alright. And they could both be much better.

I have played both but GG seems to have something that gets me back to it. I don't know what exactly. Maybe the graphics. Don't know, It's just nicely made. I find PS to be rough and outdated. In microstakes, which is all I can afford to play, players are pretty much the same. GG has the asian gamblers and some regs and PS has just as many gamblers and some regs with HUDs. GG doesn't allow external HUDs, which I also like cause the grinders have less information. GG has bad beat jackpots that are pretty good and the GG Care and the daily micro tickets. Don't know (don't judge) if Pokerstars has any of that. Deposits and withdrawals are acceptable on both, had my winnings in a couple of days. PS software has glitches on my PC, frequent errors and some lag when moving the windows.

I'm the kind of person who enjoyed PKR and It's just little things that make GG more playable for me. I think PS is pretty down on my preference list and I simply don't like it much. If there were only worse alternatives (and there are), I'd stick with PS but there are better alternatives for me. I prefer 888, GG, Party, even ACR (actually on the edge with this one). But I prefer PS over everything else. I may also not have enough experience with other poker clients/platforms to compare them, but I've tried about 20 different ones. Some attract me, some don't, very subjective.

Microstakes players are just microstakes players, the more the merrier, and GG's and PS's pools are both big.

Depends what concerns you and what you personally prefer. Not much to be concerned about with either. There are many people who will argue about anything, but it comes down to where you feel comfortable and what attracts you and the only way to find out is to try out everything that's available and then choose for yourself. Or don't choose and play them all at the same time or each as your mood pleases. But play well.

Check the rake too, if it concerns you, it's readily available. Rake can be annoying, but I see it as a tax and I pay my taxes as there are no tax avoidance schemes in poker.

However, I think it's more productive to focus on winning rather than rake as if you lose consistently, the rake is literally your last concern.

Keep it simple.

Thats a very clear answer. I play nearly 20 years on stars. I think gg has not such a good reputation as PS. I knew some players which play there but i have not motivation to get some praxis knewlogde from gg. At this phase of my life i would never open an account on gg.

I don't know GGPoker yet, but my experience with Pokerstars is very good, the customer service is fast and kind and to the point.

What do I prefer GG Poker or PokerStars?.. First of all, on PokerStars I can't to play now, because I'm from Russia,
and secondly, I registered on GG Poker, but not played yet, because I didn't make first deposit yet...
Therefore, now I play on PokerDom...

I've been playing at PokerStars for over 10 years and just recently joined GG Poker. The main menu is more understandable and I like at PokerStars, in addition, it has a white background. Good promos for beginners at GG Poker. Time will tell which site I will prefer when I explore the possibilities of GG poker, and maybe I will play both with pleasure.

Software slightly lighter; (nothing that weighs in on the choice)
The display screen is less polluted than gg, the filtering functions are better designed. (nothing that weighs in on the choice)
Faster to find some types of low stakes games.
Now they also offer a graph in the right corner of the screen like GGpoker (left side) in MTTs.
Lots of freerolls, but for the most part they are pretty boring starting with a few bbs and everyone ''allining'' all the time!

GG Poker is already starting to catch up with Pokerstars in terms of game traffic. I like this network, it's a pity that there are no CC freerolls by levels. And the passwords for affiliated members just merge, and there are too many players involved.

I do liked GGPoker some time ago, but they no longer have some of the free-rolls I used to play there so haven't played in a while. Pokerstars I don't mind but I don't like how they are ruining the UI with changes that don't make sense to me and ruining what was a clean interface and easy user experience. They are adding too much crap and making themselves too clustered with useless elements that don't add to the game.
