Who else misses chat in ACR?

I always kept the chat off anyway. Too distracting. I've noticed there's no way to turn of the emojis and throwable now, which can get annoying after a while. All in good fun I guess.

I would miss the chat if there were any more CC freerolls. However, I did not notice the chat is gone because I have not played on ACR since the last CC freeroll. I'm not that keen on ACR, but again, I have alternatives and I know not many do, due to pointless restrictions. I totally despise throwables and animations and anything else that's distracting.

I really don't understand why these companies don't just focus on decent quality of gameplay amd by that I mean something like what GGPoker did. They focused on the quality of gameplay. It's nice looking, it's smooth. Why all the extra rubbish? Chat I understand, but everything else, absolutely pointless, while gameplay looks like the 80's on a bad day.

First of all, I am not supporting or promoting or caring at all about GG or anyone else for that matter. I'm completely neutral.


I am complaining about throwables and annoying animations. But is GG not a good example for how the actual gameplay works? GG compared to ACR or Pokerstars and most others feels like the difference between Overwatch and something like the 90's Mario and Tetris. Only 888 seems a tad nicer. Besides GG has some chat features that are very decent. They only just introduced some kind of throwables that don't affect the game and can't be used most of the time, and the non-chat animations are extremely rare. And the chat is even separate from the actual table. Of course, I wish I could mute the chat and disable the emojis and all the features that only distract and at times annoy me, sure. But I just find myself playing on GG more, just because the gameplay is nice and smooth.

In all fairness I don't know who started what. I'm just saying that most if not all of the poker clients have really bad outdated gaming experience and instead of improving that, they focus on gimmicks and pure gambling opportunities. Not even mentioning the kinds of tournaments that are available, even on GG, but it is what it is. I play by their rules but at least I want to enjoy the play time. So, by no means GG is perfect but I wish other companies would focus on the important stuff, rather than the useless stuff.

I dont chat often, when I play online poker, but I think, there should be a chat function. Its nice to be able to say something like "good game" or "good luck" to the opponent, when you reach the heads-up in an MTT, or be able to discuss a deal.

I logged onto ACR for the first time in a while a few days ago only to notice that there is no longer a chat option. Just emojis and throwables like at Stars but with no chat. I know there is a lot of problems with people being abusive to other players on all the sites, but I enjoyed chat at the tables and I miss being able to talk to other players. SIGH. Anyone else???

I also miss chat. It used to amuse me sometimes when you saw a chat war or a looney spouting off.

Lack of chat kinda sucks. I like to have some conversation during play, this is one of the biggest advantages of "poker as a job" thing.
The other side of the coin is there is noone normal to talk to, usually. Are all these people just so focused on grinding?

They removed chat a couple of months or so ago and replaced it w/only emojis and animations. Miss is a strong word tho, imo. I think that without chat there is an aspect of poker that is absent but not crucial enough to take away from the online platform. I guess this a way to try and cut down on collusion or something? Either way is fine w/me. If you're multi-tabling, then you'll probably never miss it anyway.

The throwables on ACR are making the game sometimes laggy for me. I think even you liked or disliked the chat option its just nonsense that you can't have the ability to talk to the others. There were problems with the chat, but that's not the solution to ban them all.

I just miss the Cardschat games. We still have the Ruckus though, and that is fun.

I miss Chat too. We could play with opponents in a much more creative way than these terrible animations that they put there now.
I also really miss the CardsChat games on ACR. Mainly because of the schedule, which for me was much more comfortable than the PS and 888Poker schedules. There were also BOL and SB games that were in the same time slot. I look forward to one day returning.

I definitely don’t miss the racists , and sore sports spitting venom every time they lose. I also find it easier to play without the chat distraction.

I don't play ACR but these days most sites have done away with table chat and I admit I do miss it, not that I use it a lot but think
it should be my choice if I use it or not, not the poker sites.
You can't chat but you can throw infantile throwables at each other, what a joke, they want getting rid of asap.
