Why does PokerStars only have satellite freerolls now?

The one monthly community freeroll was today and I played but with no passion when just tickets to be won. And why give away 50 cent ones when you can get one of them every day anyways just by playing a 25 cent s and go. I might as well not have entered.

For the record, I didn't see any bot type behaviour, unless the bots were made to specifically disguise themselves as pretty average poker players. Now of course, your chances of winning are tiny, and despite actually winning, I still wouldn't recommend them really. But it was a fun ride for 0.22c

Yes, apparently you haven't played at Pokerstars for a long time and don't know that they canceled freerolls from other communities and left only their freerolls so that participants can only play them. Now they are making an effort to improve only their poker club and want to do everything for themselves

PokerStars just decided to save money, which is quite common before bankruptcy. If you haven't played PokerStars in a long time, then it's better not to start, there's just nothing good there.

I won only once if I remember correctly , very disappointing , at the target sat I was given a bad beat. I don't pnt dedicate one hour or more to this garbage . I will only play it for fun some minutes if I can and if I wish so

I agree with you!!! You can have any monster cards AA / KK / QQ and all times the bots win. The same is happening with GG Poker. A lot of bots there also.

PokerStars is still the best place for me to play. I can buy in a HORSE tournament for $1.10 and with 3 re-buys.
To me that's entertainment. It's not about the money, but of course it's always nice to finish in the money.
Unfortunately I still cannot get the new update .COM.

It just makes it a little harder to make money for Free! Winning a ticket first and then using that ticket to play in another Tournament is just another way of getting more value from the game for PokerStars.
If they offer $100 Freeroll and the top 50, 60 or 100 players get into the Money bubble, They are all making money although for some it might only be a few Cents, but they can use that to buy into other games once they amass enough Micro wins, But if they offer $100 Freeroll for Tickets then only 20 players could possibly win a $5 ticket each, they are then limited to playing in the next Tournament that is on offer, So in effect they have no choice but to play that game.
Sounds like a good business Plan for them to make changes that make them more money, Let's be honest they are in this to make money, Not give it Away for Free!

I agree it was always very difficult to win any kind of seat in PokerStars freeroll satellites. I spent hours trying to get tickets but was never successful, quite odd really.

I do not agree with all decisions made by PokerStars including the latest rake increase for micro and low stakes SnGs. But with that being said they still have great game selection, great software and fast payouts. And its a very safe site to play on. So the amount of negative comments about PokerStars is way out of proportion.

Some even seem to wish, that they will go bankrupt. But that would leave GG Poker as an effective monopoly, and is this really good for players? GG Poker have also cancelled their CC freerolls, but they have not received a fraction of the negative feedback in this forum, which has gone towards PokerStars. And seriously. If people only play online poker for freerolls, maybe its time to reconsider their priorities

Or maybe spend money on different kinds of promotions? Like the PowerPath tickets or freerolls rewarding tickets instead of cash prices. Some of the satellites for yesterdays Anniversary Sunday Million had a big overlay as well, which can also be seen as a kind of promotion. I won a seat in a $2.2 satellite with 200% overlay, which basically mean, PokerStars gave me $4.4 for playing this satellite. Just because there are no more CC or other affiliate freerolls does not mean, there are no promotions

Their decision is a short term move and not a long term profit move.
