"WPT' now charges you money for throwables

Actually, at first I was playing some MTTs there, not just the CC freerolls, but one day I won a €330 seat for an online Day 1. When I tried to join, there were no options, so I contacted support. Even though it was clearly their mistake, they refused any refund or to give me a similar ticket for a later game. Instead, they compensated me, wait for it… with a $1 ticket. 🤡 Since then, I keep any real MTTs on Party or GG; lesson learned. Now I’m only CC freerolling there.

I haven’t been in the game that long, but I’m curious if any room has ever pulled something like that before. Also, out of curiosity, I wonder what the management team at CC thinks about this new feature of charging for throwables, which might end up being implemented in other rooms in the future. Good idea or bad? @Martin @Tammy

You need to click on a player, which will also open the HUD. Maybe it hasn’t rolled out for every country yet on the phone, but it’s definitely on PC. Do you see the HUD?

I dont think, you are forced to use the throwables, so there seem to be a very simple solution. If we have to boycott all poker sites, that ever did something questionable, there would be no places left to play

That's why I disable all of this, I have them all on PS, I think it takes the attention away, when it's a home game I think it's cool to use because you're with friends.

I started rolling to see them all, and only after a while did I notice the small text saying it was worth $0.10. I saw them all, but I lost almost $2. I won't be rolling anymore. 🤡

I would advise you to complain about it like I did and say it how it is. There was no text at first, and you kept shooting them, and the line about the 10 cents is so small it’s unreadable. That’s not right, and you should get a refund. I did get $3 for losing $1.20 by contacting them

You get a certain amount for free, and after that it’s charged. I saw players using them again in today’s game. I bet WPT will make a nice little profit before people even realize

Calling $1.30 a bankroll? I just withdrew everything each time i win theyre for non trust reason But I guess it makes sense that someone would consider that a bankroll if they have $3k after 40 years + of grinding

WPT recently had an update that now includes an integrated HUD, which is cool, and they finally added emoticons and throwables. Yesterday I made a withdrawal, so I had around $1.30 left. I joined the daily freeroll and noticed the throwables. Just for fun, I started using them. At some point...

I'm using them rarely but decided to try each one once just to see what they do. So probably 2 for free and then 16 more to try, which costs $1.60. Haha, I had $1.30 left, so I didn’t even have a chance to try them all.

WPT Global has huge Chinese audience and China loves these kinds of stuff, tons of whales in video games opening those emoji loot crates too.

I think, more or less all sites have throwables these days, but WPT Global are the first to charge people money for using them. PokerStars have also tried to make money on throwables by giving people more of them for completing challenges (and paying rake). But at least thats transparent, which I guess is the main criticism against WPT Global here.
