Honestly, I play pure. But if the poker room has some built-in statistics, I obviously use them. If there’s nothing available, then I just play based on what I observe at the table.

Maybe it’s not the most optimal way, but it works for me.

Some players love using HUDs and trackers, others prefer no software at all.
Where do you stand?Do trackers make you better, or do they take away from the “feel” of poker?
I dont utilize a third party poker tracker. The Mini Poker Tracker that is integrated with 888 and GG Poker is all I use and to be honest, its more than sufficient for my needs. I dont feel the need to use additional software or evaluate large amounts of data because I mostly play freerolls. I can usually stay on track with just the basic information provided by the tables integrated tools.

Additionally, the same players frequently appear in freerolls. Eventually, you get familiar with names, patterns and different ways of playing. For this reason, I heavily depend on my intuition and experience. I have played enough of these games to get a fair idea of how specific opponents react in various circumstances.

In due course, you will instinctively know who is prone to pushing too wide, who plays too tightly, who bluffs excessively and who only bets big when they are certain they have it. Once you observe these behaviors, you dont really need complex stats to make changes.

I don't use any of those things because I believe that it would be unethical to use them. When playing poker you are supposed to be just using your mind to perform calculations, gather information about your opponents, and determine what plays to make.

Its fine to play without a tracker when starting out, but any serious online player needs a HUD (if playing on sites that allow them!). Your opponents will mostly use a HUD and the stats are very helpful if used correctly once you have a big sample on someone. Plus you can track results and study past hands.
