It's one of my favourite times of the year and Autumn here over the pond means one thing - its pigskin time!
Having backed the Chiefs last season from gun to tape - I'm going for the Baltimore Ravens to win.
Late night football for me here in the UK but hell its worth it with a few games no doubt scheduled for the UK (jacksonville you love us).

I also pray for my FINS to make play offs...

Who is your pick guys? Lets play ball!

Eagles!
Last year Eagles played against Packers in Sao Paulo-BR and I was there for my 1st ever live football game. It was amazing!

Eagles won that game, and made me support they from now on.
Later they ended up winning the super bowl
(before that when I only have watched on tv, I used to support Colts, but nahh, nevermind)

For as much parody as the NFL has at times, I fear that this will look like Groundhog Day - similar to the NBA when the Cavs and Warriors met in the NBA Final year after year.

I have a hard time believing that Kansas City and Buffalo won't meet in the AFC Championship and as much as I absolutly despise the Bills (I love the Dolphins after all), I do feel bad that they continue to be snake bitten and cursed and I don't see how that changes this year. If the Championship is in KC, the Chiefs will beat them again.

The NFC there is no reason that the Eagles won't get through again. There are teams that are better this year - Green Bay for example, but my gut tells me that we are getting a re-match of last year's Super Bowl again, and again, I see the Eagles winning.

Obviously injuries and massive trades could change this, but as of today, give me the Eagles beating the Chiefs in February.

I hope the Seattle Seahawks don't do so badly this year. They hired Cooper Kupp, I hope he does well this year. The NFL is amazing.

I can see an improved season for the seahawks and in terms of Chiefs and Eagles - it would be a fool and his money to not back at least one of these for the big prize.
Looking outside of those big 2 - can the bills deliver more consistently and be the destructive force they can be, will the packers run better offensively this season and what is going on with the Cowboys...money doesn't always buy you the best..going to be massively interesting this season.

Total domination by Colts over my beloved FINS- we were never at the races but game of the night has to be from the Highmark Stadium where Bills edged the Ravens 41-40 in an absolute classic.
Pretty sure these two teams will be in the mix come play offs and it would not surprise me to see one of these make the SB this season.
Early days yet..
Denver Broncos also won beating the titans 20-12.

Here is a round up of this weekends scores with some solid notables wins for the Falcons, the giants winning a thriller at the cowboys and another thriller with the colts winning by 1 point at home v my dark horse early prediction the broncos.

Sadly after a second quarter revival, my beloved FINS crashed to a home defeats versus the Pats.

It was a historic games with history made as the Dolphins took the lead thanks to a stunning 74-yard punt return touchdown from Malik Washington.

But the New England Patriots then scored on the resulting kick-off thanks to Antonio Gibson's even better 90-yard touchdown run. That incredible back-to-back sequence has only happened once before in NFL history.

The Patriots eventually won 33-27.

The Chiefs are still my pick. As long as Mahomes is leading the offense, they always have a chance to go all the way. Even when they lose key players, they somehow find a way to stay competitive and dangerous.

I also think their playoff experience gives them an edge. They’ve been in so many big games over the past few years, and that kind of confidence is hard to match. If their defense holds up, it’s tough to bet against them.

That said, the AFC is stacked this season. Teams like the Ravens, Bills, and Bengals could all make a serious run. It feels like every week is going to be a battle, which makes it even more fun to watch.

Its been a while people but its time for the pirates NFL round up and to see where we are with the hunt for divisional titles - wildcard tams and the holy grail - the 2 teams who will make it all the way to the Superbowl.

First up - my team Miami Dolphins.

Whilst we are realistically out of the hunt, however, 4 wins on the spin including an impressive win versus the Bills has resurrected a poor season into an OK season and we now sit at a 6/7 record.

My early season pick of the Baltimore Ravens has been annihilated with Ravens now at the same points average and wins/losses as Miami at 6/7. In a division being edged currently by the Pittsburgh Steelers at 7/6 and guess what people - yep Miami travel to Steelers next week in what is a week of huge match ups.

Standout teams

NE Patriots - 11/2
Denver Broncos - 11/2
LA Rams 10/3
Seattle Seahawks 10/3
Jacksonville Jaguars - 9/4

Massive game coming up at Lumen Field on Dec 19th as the Seahawks face off against the Rams in what has to be a division winner takes all game!

Several teams who are top of their division or are sharing top spot i have omitted for now but there are some real tight battles going on!

Its a tough one to call but if i had a chance to change my winners pick - i would be seriously tempted to look hard at the Broncos now.

Well its time for a Thanksgiving/Xmas round up and boy - theres a lot to catch up on...

did you catch the epic showdown between the Seahawks and the Rams? Wow for me the best game of the season with the Seahawks powering through to win in OT.

But then...

thins just got REAL between the eagles and the commanders...

3 ejected.

Eagles winning the divisions by a scoreline of 29-18 to wrap up the NFC East.

So where do we stand now... here is a link to the latest tables

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/american-football/tables

A round up, Pats leading in AFC East/Steelers currently edging a very tight AFC North/Jaguars holding on to top spot in AFC South/Broncos cruising in AFC West/Eagles as previously mentioned have sewn up NFC East/Bears still leading NFC North/Tampa and Panthers neck and neck in NFC South and finally the Seahawks with their win over the Rams have edged in front in the NFC West.

Its hotting up people!

My team? The FINS - faint hopes of playoff effectively ended now with defeat last week versus Steelers. Boo to that ;)

Todays fixtures. 21st Dec

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/american-football/scores-fixtures

My pick now to go all the way? Philly Eagles, whats yours?

ARRRR!

Hi People - its time for the pirate NFL round up and boy, is there A LOT to catch up on...

First up, i want to congratulate Seattle Seahawk fans for a gritty away win at Clara Field last night versus the 49ers - Seahawks defence might just be good enough to take them all the way to the bowl this year, lets see. NFC West title secure. Deserved.

In other news - here is a score round up of the past week with myself a very happy FINS fan with a notable win at home versus the BUCS - too much too late for us but at least our second half of the season provides some hope for the future. Todays game away at the Pats will be the real acid test though - win that and every FINS fan will feel their season counted for something but its going to be our hardest game of the season to date.

So where does that leave us - well there are some huge games happening today and none more so than the eagerly awaited match up between the broncos and the chargers.

Right now - im feeling the Seahawks make superbowl but who will join them? Stay tuned football fans.

Im still sticking with Philly to win the lot.

Well people - here is your wildcard line ups and what a game for the steelers!

im licking my wounds as we got what i expected with an ass whupping at the pats but fair play to them and i wish them well for the road to the bowl.

If you asked me what my dream final would be - it would be Seahawks v Philly Eagles.

lifelong vegas raiders fan here, i thought like last year when we were almost locked up with #1 ovrl pick in draft but won our last 2 games and got the 5-6th instead, it was going to be the same outcome winning our final game but we still landed the first pick in april. and finally we have a shot at getting our young franchise QB, although this draft class with QBs is very small for elite passers, i only see one clear favorite who had the seasons to show his capabilities, hes got the NFL size 6'5- 225 and dual threat also, plus heisman winner this season, in mendoza. some say donte moore but he hasnt even declared for draft yet and only played one season in ncaa, given the raiders track record with drafts im hoping for the home run finally, but expecting the typical bust, we have got very young talent on offense, but well see how it goes. we fired pete carroll, chip kelly after a year, so back to another coach needed..maybe w land harbaugh from baltimore letting him go

none the less

Too late for my Dolphins, I posted this in september. I know Santa and the Three Wise Men have already come and gone, but I'd like to see John Harbaugh or Brian Daboll replace McDaniel and for them to bring in a QB like Lamar or Joe Burrow. Cheers.

joe burrow is my favorite QB in the league since i started watching him in college before he transfered his last season to LSU and won with jamar chase, but hes had health issues recently which kills them but if joe burrow could be healthy for full seasons the bengals would be a tremendous offense to deal with, hes an amazing QB i hope he can stay healthy going forward, it sucks seeing such talent hurt long term during the seasons, mahomes finally got it now too, hes been mr reliable since he came into the league, but he finally suffered a severe injury so who knows how he will come back....

Oh before my burrow praise, i dont see a world where the bengals let that man go anywhere, especially since him, chase, and higgins are all locked up for a few more seasons together. dreaming and fantasizing is always nice though instead of dealing head on with reality lol
