I think the Rams are going to set up an epic NFC title game next week - sadly the AFC game has lost its lustre with Bo being done. Winner today goes to the Superbowl and as a Fins fan....I fear the Pats are going to win

Never saw the 49ers beating Seattle at home anyway - they are tough to beat at Lumen Field.
Im on Pats watch now.

Well people. Its looking like whoever wins the bowl is going to be the team with the best defence judging by this weekend, as i write this - the rams are tied 7-7 with the bears at a freezing Soldier field.
Winners play the seahawks in the NFC divisonal championship to decide who goes to the grail whilst the Pats face off versus the Broncos in the land of AFC minus Bo.

It will take something superhuman to beat Seattle at home but the Rams have a chance.

Well they lost a close one there - an absolute thriller 37-38 on Dec 19th with Seattle winning in OT.

Dang!
Well it wont be my preferred choice at Miami with New York Giants making a shrewd offer and securing John Harbaugh...
Any ideas footballs fans who you would like to see FINS UP coach next season?

Heres the pirate with the latest word on the street...

Will there be a new Shula at Miami?

The Miami Dolphins have spoken to Saleh but an exciting prospect for Miami fans is Chris Shula as he is the grandson of legendary coach Don Shula, who led the Dolphins to back-to-back Super Bowl wins in the 1970s, including what remains the NFL's only unbeaten season (1972).

LA Rams v New England for the Superbowl rematch from XXXVI.

Side note - who saw Buffalo axing their coach today and why haven't the Dolphins got him on a plane to Miami yet???? Who wouldn't love to see McDermott coach the Fins??

Judging by quite a few fins fans on a couple of forums im on Chris - its 5050 on Brian.
I would take him 100%.
Buffalo were cold today - that was a shocking decision and i hope next season shows that.

As Miami fans, you shouldn’t want McDermott. He’s an underachiever and often times the second best HC in every game they play. Shoot for better than that.

I get this and its a shared view by many Fins fans but i like the guy and see him as a good fit, it obviously however depends on who else is available but there are several teams shopping now and we cannot match most of those with lucrative packages.
Time will tell.

I mean, I do think he was better than McDaniel but again I don’t think he’s a guy that ever gets you to where you want to be so why not go elsewhere?

I dont think any coach gets us to where we want to be yet my friend - its about improvements and those marginal gains have to add up to a minimum of regular play off challengers, as thing stand - i genuinely feel we lack the playing roster personnel to do that.

For me, Josh Allen is the QB he is because partly of what McDermott did. If he can bring that to Miami - knowing Buffalo's plans - this could be a significant advantage to developing the next QB + going to war with Buffalo on a more even field. I agree - he may not be "the" guy, but having him on the market, Miami needs to take a look at him with what else is out there.

Miami appoint former defensive coach at Green Bay Packers - Jeff Hafley as new head coach.
Well Fins fans - didnt see this one coming but what it does support is a previous post of mine saying that we needed to improve our defence and for sure, Jeff is a very talented DC- can he take this further as a HC?
Lets see next season... FINS UP!!!

ARRR!

GBP record this season with 360 points conceded - one of the better records defensively.
Now across 17 games thats an average concede of just over 21 points per game so work still to be done, Miami has to aim for play offs next season which i know is ambitious considering the squad but im hoping we can pick up a gem or 2 close season.

Sunday 25th January - it all comes down to this.

Here is a break down of the 4 teams with highlighted strengths and weaknesses, im praying that Stidham has a great game for Denver and personally, i cant wait to see Rams V Seahawks, that for me is the blue ribbon tie and a close call but i cannot back against Seattle at home.

What do you think guys?

I think you guys made a good hire in Hafley…coming from a Pats fan, I’d have preferred you went with someone else lol
