I'm not sold on Hatley - Miami's problem has been stopping the run - we've been goddamn terrible at it. Hatley "might" help that - but consider these stats:

2024 Miami - 8-9
PF: 345 - 22nd
PA: 364 - 10th

2025 Miami - 7-10
PF: 347 - 25th
PA: 424 - 24th

The offense was essentially the same at producing points year over year YET if you look at their record, they were only one win better last year. Even with the 10th best defense, they were not a playoff team.

The problem isn't the defense - it's the offense. Bringing in a defensive minded coach won't help Tua or Hughes or whomever is at QB, and consider that Achene was 5th in rushing this season...yet produced no incremental points year over year is worrysome to me if Hatley doesn't look to improve the offense in some capacity, and without firing Smith the OC...where's the true hope here?

Yep offense isnt great but i still stand by my thoughts that we need to start with defense first. Time will surely tell with Hatley.

Seahawks win 31-27 v Rams in what for me was THE game of the season so far. Sam Darnold was immense.

I haven't paid much attention to the actual football aspect of the Super Bowl...I use it as an excuse to my wife to eat the most unhealthy food...went to 4 different takeout places: to get Thai food for my wife, BBQ ribs from a Chinese restaurant, chicken wings from a wing joint, and French fries from a burger joint...started eating as the game started...big problem...I was absolutely stuffed by 6:45...had nothing else to do, so I watched some of the boring first half, then switched to Olympic coverage...BTW...I topped off all the fatty food with a whole bag (family size) of caramel corn!

The Seahawks, Super Bowl champions, were certainly a surprise.

Seahawks were one of 2 teams from the start that i felt would win it - i bombed out totally on my original pick Philly Eagles who were a pale shadow of last years team.
All season - Seattle have shown that defences win games and when you have a player like Jaxon..you scare teams.
hands down deserved winners - class above all this season.
