I'm in poker a few months now and didn't hit anywhere near the final table in a freeroll (or any other format) yet... From my current point of view its very hard to get there. But I'm trying constantly. Hoping to improve my skill this way...

I think it would be tough to survive on just freerolls. I cashed in two the past week and think it is a good way to build a small bankroll while learning and starting out. I like to use my winnings on .50 or dollar guaranteed tournaments. Like the ones that are $100 or $200 guaranteed prize pools no matter how many people enter. Sometimes you may only get like 60 people entering into these which is nice for the prize pool involved.

If you play only freerolls then you aren't playing professionally. There's just no way anyone can live off of freeroll money. Not even the best in the world.

I have already won a nice money, but I also deposit when there is a tournament that I am interested in playing, I have an acquaintance who made 5 thousand dollars in Freeroll, of course this was for a long time, 2 years it took to do all this, he just played freeroll, today he manages his bankroll .. this shows that it is possible to earn good money from these tournaments, as long as you know how to manage your br.

I play for fun only freerolls. Earlier, I invested my money, now I do not want. Not so long ago, I won $ 70 on two days in freerolls, but I could not properly dispose of them and lost. But I'm not sorry even)

Well, if you have money - you play real cash games, if no, for sure, you can play freerolls. Usually i play both ways, but for sure, if the freerolls is good enough. This is no point to play 1000+ people games with $50 prizepool.

Not so much about making a living off the free rolls, more about just having fun and learning with them.

No this is not a regular freeroll. They had a big promotion and had a bunch of different freerolls each day from $50 up to I think a $5000. It was in the $5000 freeroll and I think I finished 23rd for $130. I hope they have another promotion like that soon!!! but that was by far my biggest freeroll win cash wise.

I know we have a ton of members who only play freerolls, but do we have any who are strictly surviving off nothing but freerolls?

How many freerolls do you play per day? And do you switch to larger tournaments once you have a bankroll or do you stick to the freerolls?
I'm still playing freerolls because I want to create a bankroll myself. I play a lot of freerolls, but also small tournaments.
On freerolls, I often attend prizes, even if there are a lot of players. Although I do not see freerolls as a real game. rather, this is a coin game .DSC 0172DSC 0173

Freerolls are good way to build bankroll without the need to deposit and to improve your skills without spending your money. First of all you should be willing to constantly learn and improve your game if you want to be on the positive site and win something. If you have this next question is how much time and money you have. If you are on tight budget and you are ok to play just several freerolls per day trying to slowly build bankroll - well do it. If you have the money and want to directly start playing you can deposit and get the things going. Just remember to always invest money that you can afford to loose.

It is nice to play freerolls for fun. It is nice to have a chance to play some real money tournaments with money that was won in a freeroll.

Check the CC leaderboards. You can see that some members make quite a bit off Freerolls.

For me, coming back from like a 6 year poker break, it is a nice way to get back into it without risking anything at first.

If you are looking at it as time versus money it gets complicated as it can take a lot of time to build a bankroll. I have played 2-3 freerolls a day for the past couple weeks and have cashed in 4 of them making about $16. For me it is worth the time while I work on my game for free.

I try to play as much freeroll as possible. Usually two or three a day. Sometimes it is possible to win any money, but it is rare. I work on myself. Good luck.

I think freerolls are worth it. It gives you tournament experience so you can use them as a way to judge how well you play in tournaments. Some freerolls are like bingo because the players go all in on the first hand. I've played in them and it is hard to play the first few rounds, but after that the game can be played well by most of the remaining players.

It really depends on how you value your time, the structure of the freeroll you are considering, and how much you value the experience (learning value or just fun) of playing in the freeroll. If you're confident in your play and are just looking to make money, they probably aren't worth the time invested, except for ones with above average payouts. That said, they give a fun way to practice playing in a tournament and seeing how that's different from a cash game. I also have some aversion to ever depositing and would prefer to just make my starting cash on a service from freerolls, but provided the service is reputable there isn't really a reason for that.
