Where did you get this that in the long run you can't win?? If nowadays there are several players who only play spins and they depend precisely on the long term to be profitable.

Stay away from spin and gos is my advice. I honestly believe there is too many side game options on the poker sites these days and they are all clearly designed to take your money.

Stick with the poker freerolls, build a bankroll and make your money that way

I don't like to play them, I only play when I win free tickets on 888poker or GGpoker. Maybe I don't know how to play them (also never really study about this type of game), but I think there are too much luck involved.
