cash game

i prefer MTT but Cash Game i believe this is true poker, after tournaments with high buy-ins ($109). What are your thoughts on this?

It's not "true", worse or better, it's just different!

Tournaments give more emotions and big scores, but cash games often feel like “pure” poker.
In cash games, there is less impact from blind structure and ICM; more decisions are based purely on skill, reads, and long-term EV. There is no “survival pressure,” but every mistake costs money immediately.
MTTs test patience, adaptation, and the ability to handle variance, while cash games test discipline and consistency.
I would say it like this: tournaments create stories, and cash games show your real level of play.

I don’t think one is “true poker” and the other isn’t. Cash and MTTs just test different skills.

Cash rewards deep stack fundamentals and consistency, while tournaments demand adaptation to stack sizes, ICM pressure, and survival decisions. Saying cash is the real game ignores how complex tournament poker really is.

Regardless of the buy in. It's the real poker.dont let others dictate which is and isn't real poker. Those same people are playing way below there bankroll. So technically they're also not playing real poker since they're not playing the highest stakes that they can play.
