Bleh moving down to 10nl, my bankroll is good enough for 25nl but I have been playing so bad I need to go back to basics.

Only watched the first 6 minutes, as I have like no time to myself at the weekend lol, but the hand where you fold A2o in SB instead of iso'ing, I think OOP this is DEF not weak like you said, and even IP its not an amazing hand to iso either imo, i'd be interested to see what other hands you iso with OOP,

I like to iso with hands that are gonna really dominate a l/c'ers range, like Q7s K8o A5+ etc i figure with a hand like A2o, on most flops we'll be barely ahead/way behind, and then the only way we win the hand is to make a player who doesnt like folding.....fold. Like thinking about why we iso a l/c'er it has to be for value, because otherwise we're trying to make a player who doesnt fold.....fold, right? (unless we have stats that say he folds to 90% cbets or w/e ofc), when we iso with K7s its because we know he calls with worse Kx and worse 7x, The way you spoke in the vid it seems like A2o is a totally standard iso for you with a limper, and I dont think its that great.

I'm shit at explaining my thought process but I was watching a coaching tree vid the other day, might have been the 1st ep, and baluga whale talks for a few mins on iso'ing ranges, and he's been pulled up on forums for not iso'ing wider, just watch that lol his reasoning is completely solid and he'll explain it much better than me!

Yep, in total agreement about folding A2o in the SB to the limper on table 2 about 4:30 in was fine. Pretty solid reasoning for this already discussed, so I won't bother adding my 2 penneth.

lol, really lol here, sorry but I really do think it was good. Not a lot to add really in terms of strategy tbh. Defo make more though, cos it is definitely one of the better videos I've seen that have just been put out there for free.

I can't help thinking how it compares to mine... lmao. Like, I was probably thinking along similar lines while clicking buttons, but in terms of articulating them, well, I came up short.

I guess I should try to sort out another video too, but make more of an effort to talk about my reasons for clicking.

no, the assumption an opponent needs to understand a play to make it viable is completely backwards. opponents not understanding what we are doing allows us to have an exploitative strategy.



as examples.

super fish limp/calls any two cards and only calls flop with TP or better or a flush draw. to exploit this we can isolate with atc and cbet give up on dry boards. and barrel on flush draw boards.

If we barrel on draw-heavy boards and get called, we can triple barrel on blank rivers and expect to get more folds than on dry boards where villains basically have to have made hands to get to the riv

What's a 'flop range'?

Flop range is just the range we have on the flop. Same as a preflop range, just refers to the fact that it's on the flop.

Also willing to get coached by one of you guys and will pay 60% of 5nl winnings daily or weekly for a couple of weeks one to one coaching via skype + and sweats if anyones interested....maybe a 2 week contract or something, an hour a day, 60% given to coach within sweat/coaching session.....although I'm open to other deals if that's not good enough, dont know how this sort of thing works.

Edit....will give 100% of profit in the 1 hour of coaching.

low at the range that i assigned to call us. TP or better or flush draws (again highly unrealistic but whatevs)

lets say we have 5c6c on a 10s 7s 2h board. his calling range has all combinations of flush draws and 10x (plus sets 2pair)

now if we change the board to 10s 7c 2h. suddenly his calling range consists only of 10x (sets and 2pair).

so in the lfush draw example we can bet blank turns and rivers expecting folds (or IP we could check back turn and bet blank rivers) and get folds.

but in the dry board example the absence of draws means that his range is so much stronger we can give up with an exploiting range.
for example (105/106/108/109/10J) can all just give up now (if for some unknown reason we have them preflop but you get the point.)
