With him checking the turn I would rule out the str8. I think he is betting two pair. I would bet him like you did.

Why would him checking the turn rule out the straight?

Fwiw, I think he is a station so I am not ruling out strong 2 pair hands but nothing really makes sense to me. Oh something else I forgot to mention is that he has been potting post flop when he has big hands, that might change things a little. I definitely think he is going to have a ton of straights but I think he isnt folding the river that often either.

He checked the flop, checked the turn, then bet out the river. He is looking for an improvement to his hand but I would say either a set or 2 pair. Unless he is a total donk he wouldn't be chasing the str8 from that point on with the bets that M was tossing out.

I don't know. Give me a JT9x hand with maybe a couple spades on that board and I'm not going anywhere on the flop or turn.

me either

JT9x is really the only hand that makes any sense... but that doesn't mean we are dealing with someone that knows this

Agreed. Just saying he doesn't have to be a complete idiot to show up with the nuts here.

Honestly if we look at our line from his prospective what can he put us on that he can beat with less than QQxx here? I mean I suppose 66xx might call us here but probably shouldn't. Top 2 (discounted since we have 2 Kings) is just bluff catching in case we are going crazy with AA.

Our line is showing mad strength so I don't think 2 pair is calling this very often. Definitely don't like the shove.

BTW..I seriously jinxed myself a couple weeks ago....

What's the record for the worst losing % when AIPF in an AAxx vs AAxx matchup? Cause I think I'm setting it this week.

(I've seriously lost 8 out of 11, split 2 and won 1 this week.... argh) I had the better AA hand too almost every time.

Totally agree. In hindsight it looks like I am not getting too much value raising here but he showed up with AQ77ss and was betting the river for value which was weird but I do think he is showing more straights here though. I also have to assume that a significant portion of his range will be bluffs and thus my raise is even worse.

I'm just wondering how you are ever ahead on that turn. Villain has to be a huge spaz.

Yep. More stupid mixed game ridiculousness. He was short, but he also 1-outed me :( I thought it was impossible to only have 1 out playing PLO.

Since my 2 month break I, for the life of me, cannot beat an omaha game. I'm going to chalk this one up to playing like a monkey but there is also a little bit of run bad in it. I seriously need to rework my game and change somethings.

Ouch c9... That doesn't happen often..

Is AK72 SS a standard open utg+1 for you or did it have something to do with that paicular table? Seems a bit loose to me.... Really not a particularly good hand, esp oop.

Of course if you have a table you feel you can push around alot I guess this is mostly irrelevant.

Played 2k hands yesterday and today - I'm rusty, but picked up a couple of bi's anyhow.

Watched a couple of cool videos of 400plo - the emphasis is on identifying villain types as quickly as possible (the series title is "pregaming") so you can identify what your btn range should be, who you're 3betting widely, who you're looking to play lots of pots with/isolating, what strategies are appropriate for ss's, etc., all the good stuff on table dynamics.

The catch is that there were generally 5 regs and at most 1 fish on each of his tables - not what I'm used to seeing at micro. :) But food for thought.

Yeah I just dropped down in stakes myself... The week before this? Awesomeness. This week? OMFG I can't win anything.

Flop can be two-tone or rainbow...doesn't matter...but if I hit a set on it I'm gonna lose to somebody who won't fold a flush draw.

Oh and I got 1 outted myself yesterday c9 lol.

AQ5 rainbow flop, I have AAxx. Turn is a Q. Villain had QQxx. /argh

Yeah just started watching 'Pregaming'. Big MagicNinja fan and the video is looking good so far. Really wanna be playing more PLO. Up to now it's been something I've dabbled in sometimes rather than play often. I think I'm gonna look at splitting the amount of NL/PLO like 60/40ish, which I think is fine at the micros. I think 100PLO/NL and upwards I'd be looking to specialise a bit more but atm I don't think it's important. So yeah, basically trying to watch as many PLO vids/learn as much as possible

Are you playing deep tables? Maybe try just playing 100bb's for a while, limit the variance? gl whatever you decide.

If you're splitting time, and haven't already, check out Coaching Kristy and Moneytrain to Midstakesville as well as Pregaming. Some interesting overlapping themes across them, even though the others are NLHE (I really liked about 6 of the 8 Coaching vids, and liked the first two Moneytrain vids more than the third).
