You made me re-read that hand 3 times... I was like, am I reading the position wrong, where's the min check raise? lol

You need to bet a little more on the flop. You're putting yourself in a spot where you don't know if this guy is bad and thinks he's raising the flop for value with Tx. So as played, I'd call/call... and check/fold the river. But in the future, I'd bet at least 11-12 on the flop. The hand will play much easier unless you're trying to induce someone to raise as a bluff.

Great isn't it, gold star players at 1c-2c zoom, like why? Surely it can't be that profitable.
So against a reg isoing like this I prefer to raise preflop here, its going to be difficult to outplay him postflop so try to take it pre for me.

I think I'm putting him all in on the turn. Your hand figures to be best often enough unless he's that tight from EP. But even still he's sometimes got unpaired broadways, possibly with a flush draw. I am a little worried because I think he knows that the 9 isn't a good card to barrel and he doesn't have fold equity because he's short. But with the money already in the middle, his short stack an over pair and additional outs I don't' think I'm getting away from this very often.

I'm folding here vs. this guy. He's too tight. These kinds of guys rarely double without a big hand. That's not a good turn for him. If he's only betting that % on those streets, and he's that tight, then he has a hand. At worse he has a big draw. I think you can find a fold here against someone like this. Limited sample but it looks like once he bets the turn he's betting the river.

The trouble I have with these spots is....are they barreling AK AQ or do they actually have a hand?
When I have AK in this spot and barrel I always seem to get called down by the overpair TT JJ QQ.
Normally I would fold in this spot against an UTG open on the turn, however here I got seduced by the OESD and decided to call and see if we can hit and if he would fire the river.
River was 3c he put in his remaining at which point I'm then of course getting such a good price I have to call.
He flipped over KK.

Actually it's more likely to hit his range than yours. You're cold calling out of the BB.

If your plan was to try and bluff him off, that's fine. But I wouldn't advocate that if someone is aggressive and betting on this kind of board. They will have a piece far too often and too many reasons to call.

Correct... something not as coordinated as what you had there. like J 7 2 etc... Although there's good reason to c/c on that texture as well depending on your opponent.

Based on his stats though, I'd be giving him credit that he's not one to be firing w/ AK/AQ type hands almost ever on that turn. But yes, OESD are tempting.

NH. Yeah, I think against someone like this it's unlikely they have KJ, or they're calling three barrels w/ JJ/TT. It's hard to say w/ such limited info, but that's the way I'd lean. So the at best you're looking at a split w/ AK that will call. Not a lot of worse hands calling in a 3-bet pot for 3 barrels at that point. Maybe w/ more info could could try a smallish bet to get JJ/TT to call, but w/o info I think a check is solid.

Hi david, nice check on the river ! he seems like a tight fish and as john said TT,JJ are folding to a river bet. So, there is some AK, KQ in this spot, QQ, and a slowplayed AA( this kind of fishes usually does this) so you are not payed by worst.

So every so often I get one of these e-mails in my inbox. I got this one today. I won't say who it is - not someone active in here, but it's always nice to hear so I thought I'd share.

lol I got both right and saw both gorillas, although in 2nd video didnt notice the person leaving and curtains changing colour although red and gold looked pretty similar to me
