In 2004, British gambler Ashley Revell did something absolutely crazy. He sold almost all his belongings and took the money to Las Vegas.

There, he risked everything on a roulette wheel.

He decided to bet on red, and the ball landed on 7, which is red. His money doubled, and he later used some of the winnings to play in the world series of poker and buy a motorcycle.

Would you be so bold as to make such a big bet?

never crossed my mind risk so much and bet that big .and now they have 2 or even 3 'zeros' on the wheel so your chances are way worse !

same here, risking everything on one spin is already crazy enough. Having extra zeros on the wheel makes it even harder to justify 😂

I actually remember this story. Good that it worked out well for him. Seems like a likeable guy so that's really a great. Nothing i would recommend doing too though.

exactly 😂 great story when it works, but I’d rather hear about someone else doing it than try it myself

No. I wouldn't have dared to do something like that. I think that, to a certain extent, such a decision of his points to certain mental disorders.

I could never do that. Winning would be great but its less the 50/50.

That’s way too much risk for one spin. I’d rather keep my money and watch someone else take that gamble 😂

The fact that he actually went through with it is the crazy part. Most people would never have the nerve to do that.

BUT what kind of crazy decision making process that had to go through his mind to do that <3 Holy moly <3

yeah if you really have nothing to lose, I guess I can understand the thinking, but still way too risky for me

Huh, I guess if it was like my last day to live 😛 and I wanted to start a revolution.....that might work lol

I think he faced circumstances we don't know about that drove him to take such a risk.

And how many stories like this are there that we don’t know about?
I reckon there are hundreds of them. And where are all these people???
Some of them are living in garages, under bridges or in shelters. I reckon there really are hundreds of stories like this, but they’re obviously not as well known.

A brave guy... or a little crazy.
haha honestly it could be a bit of both 😂 you’d have to be pretty fearless to actually go through with that

Better to regret something you did, than didn't. That is the perspective of some and is subjectively valid.
The psychological cost of not doing it may have been extremely high, even though that may read as absurd.

I would not give the idea serious consideration, but pleased it worked out for him.

Honestly, I would do it, and that clearly indicates I have a mental disorder.

😂 watching someone else do it is way easier than actually putting everything on one spin

definitely would have done it, and right now I’m glad I don’t own as much as he does.

Can you imagine the adrenaline rush from the bet? I’m sure every player’s pulse would quicken.

I wouldn't call it bold - it was very foolish. And no, I would never do that even if I could afford the loss. If I didn't "need" that money, I have plenty of family member who would.

agree with you to some extent—it was both bold and stupid; that’s why it’s no coincidence that I’m banned and can’t visit casinos anymore—hahaha, or maybe... lol.
