The structure required for a casino to operate is immense! Many people work to ensure that everything runs smoothly, in a range of typical professions, from basic structural roles to more specific areas such as croupiers.
The following article provides a list of these professions and their salaries:

Have you ever worked in a casino?

no but always thought about becoming a dealer in one. I'm sure they make decent money plus get good tips.
Although I have dealt many home games, I have checked out the schools in Vegas for learning to deal.
seems like a fun job, but I know once it's your job, the fun usually goes away lol. My local casino pays well
But mostly slots attendants, which wouldn't be bad if you needed a job.

Never, though I dealt poker in a few clubs.
According to that article, casino staff make some decent money.

Yes, the salaries from what I've seen are good, and the training must be very interesting too! Good luck, Jay!

Yes, Sami! I think the training must be very good too! This article is from November 2025, and I think that must be the average salary, which is very good! It seems that Nicole (@belizebum) used to work at a casino; I saw that somewhere! Good luck to you!

I wouldn't want to work in a casino. It would be difficult for me to work when everyone around me is having fun and spending money. That kind of job is definitely not for me.

I don't like working. I don't like it at all. Any job annoys me. I could only be a casino owner and keep track of profits. That would be just the thing for me.

Remember that theoretically everyone is spending money and having fun, but there is a lot of drama in that environment, because losses are not fun at all! Good luck to you!

I worked once in a small card room as a dealer of poker game and it was honestly very very exhausting. After a few weeks I was gone already.

Yes, I imagine that the fun at the casino is mainly for those who are winning or profiting! Good luck to you!

Keeping track of profit is harder than any job you can have 😜.

Having dealt poker in a while, I can assure you that it was the best job I ever had. You might not think so, but it's a lot of fun, let alone the money you can make doing it.
PS: That's from my experience dealing in private clubs, it could be different in casinos.

It all depends on how you view your work! I love my job, and regardless of how much money I make from it, it will always be more important than any profit! You're right, Sami, if it was fun, it was worth it!

I think I could work as a security guard in a casino. I could easily show offenders the right way. But as for working as a croupier, I probably wouldn't have enough patience.

I have not worked in a casino but my father did. He prevented the immediate family from entering even affiliates or subsidiaries of the operator. Have not entered any casino in my country until my father retired some 15 yrs ago. :(

I have a degree in hotel and restaurant management. I could be a director or administrator. But it is unlikely that anyone would hire me for such a job. I have never worked in my field for a single day.

Yes, but both careers require patience in my opinion! Good luck to you!

Do you frequent casinos today? Would you like to work there? If so, what career would you choose? Good luck!

Hi. I am more frequent in poker rooms than in a casino. Nevertheless, I would not like to work in a casino. Just my preference.

Thank you for your reply. I've never been to a live casino, so I'm curious. Have a great weekend!

I think it really depends on which casino, I think there is a big difference between a major Vegas hotel and a tavern in Montana.
