Which Casino Games Do You Wish Were Never Invented?

Every gambler has that one game that feels less like entertainment and more like a wallet ambush wearing neon lights and victory music 😅

For me, it’s the ultra-fast instant win and bonus-heavy slot games. The kind where you spin every 2 seconds, explosions happen on the screen, coins rain down... and somehow your balance quietly disappears like a magician’s assistant.

At least games like poker or blackjack make you feel involved in decisions. Even sports betting gives you time to think, sweat, celebrate, or regret your life choices properly 😂

But some modern casino games feel engineered in a laboratory where scientists asked:

“How do we turn dopamine into a subscription service?”

I’m not saying people can’t enjoy them responsibly. Some players genuinely have fun with them. But if I had the power to erase one category from casino history, those rapid-fire “just one more spin” machines would be floating into the volcano first.

What about you guys? Which casino game do you wish had never
been invented?

If I had to make a wish, and I know this belongs to a utopic world, I would wish that slot machines (all of them) have never been invented.

Yeah. slots are sad. People get the disease and casinos rake the sad dollars.

I’m sure some casino owners don’t sleep too well at night.

For my part, I only like poker so all other games are rubish. Even blackjack has very little appeal to me.

I'd definitely love one that would give me money every time I got the combinations wrong on the machines! hahaha

Haha that one would definitely be my favourite, and i would play with my tent money 🤣

I remember (cos I am old) back in the mid-80's they introduced slot machines into our betting shops in the UK. I am aware some of you probably don't have betting shops, so a short info-mercial - these are places where you can place bets on Horse Racing, Football games, and Greyhound racing and basically any live sport you want to. At this time, the betting shops were for betting, nothing else; in fact, it was frowned upon if you bought a can of fizzy pop or asked for a coffee from the staff behind the counter.

They must have figured that people were potentially leaving the shop with that odd £10 note in your pocket, well, "let's put some machine with noise and flashing lights in, that may stop them"

Since those heady days, some shops have 8 - 10 different machines/ betting terminals. Some players I have seen come into my local betting shop, and they don't even look at what racing is on or what football matches are on. They go straight to the machines. I spoke to the manager of my local shop, and he told me now that slot machines and fixed terminal machines make >60% of his profit. It made me laugh the other day when a sign appeared above the slot machines saying, "Ask for a free coffee while you are playing".

The world has gone crazy for these things, Just a perspective from a old man.

Yeah, those slot machines have cost me plenty of money (I'm mostly talking about the online ones ) . I've run my ACR poker winnings to zero several times !

For me slots is the most evil thing.
And besides that SPINS format (I consider this short stacked format as mostly luckgambling, and a pure Casino game because of the enourmous house edge 2X draws make it an ATM for the online poker Casino)) in Poker.

Idk everyone going for slots some people don’t like studying strategy , odds, psychology like poker or blackjack.they just want to relax , press a button, and enjoy the excitement of possible jackpot.

As a rule,
the less interaction with other players, the worse the game.

roulette is the dumbest thing ever because everything in it is independent of each other, including the spin of the wheel and the ball, so there's no pattern. You're better off playing a game like blackjack with a single deck, because the average person can count cards (high vs. low) and adjust their strategy accordingly.

Most slots are like that.
Of course, there are some I enjoy playing, but there are a few I don't like at all, simply because of their graphics and atmosphere.

For me personally it does not matter as I have myself perfectly on the control. But if I had to choose one then I will go with slots for personal reasons.

I already explained to you in another thread that the buy-in does not go to the house. Crazy to think online providers would just pocket that.

Where do u expert think the money is coming from when someone spins a 100x?

In the end, I didn't answer the main question...
I think I already thought the same, but especially after some reports here, I think without a doubt the slot machine...

I don't care about games that I don't like or that I don't think are promising for me. These games just exist, and I just don't care because I don't play them. Why think about something that doesn't interest you in principle. I can't name a single game that would make me angry or disgusted.
