I think there are two options to consider: video poker and blackjack. In my opinion, both options are the most promising. If you ask why?
In order to understand why, you need to learn a little more about the strategies used in these games.
blackjack:
video-poker:
Although I still have 2 modules left to finish the blackjack academy, I've already searched all the topics on the subject here on CC...
I'm also not yet familiar with video poker, but I'll check it out soon.

Thanks for the recommendations!

It’s not a naive question at all — many players wonder about this. In most casino games the house keeps a small mathematical edge, so in the long run it’s usually below 50% for the player. But some games are much better than others.
Blackjack is probably the best-known example. With perfect basic strategy, the house edge can drop to around 0.5% or even less depending on the rules. That’s about as close as you can get to breaking even in a traditional casino game.
baccarat is also relatively good if you stick to the banker bet, which has a very low house edge. Craps can also offer decent odds if you play simple bets like the pass line with odds.
The interesting exception is poker, because you’re playing against other players rather than the house. In that case, a skilled player can actually have a long-term advantage.
So while casinos usually keep the edge, choosing games with low house advantage and playing with proper strategy can make a big difference over time.

I think Black Jack is a game that should be number 1. All other games are just a lottery compared to it.

I think regarding blackjack, it was almost unanimous.

Of course, we can't forget about poker... Although I have very limited experience with casinos, I can't separate poker from casino games, regardless of whether we view them through EV strategies.

These were exactly the entries I was given here...
The sad thing is that I'm taking so long to maximize my knowledge about them.

At the end of the year I'll probably be going on a cruise where we'll have casino games (and poker), so I'd like to improve my skills in the games most likely to make some money or at least lose little! lol

I’d probably go with blackjack if you know basic strategy. Baccarat is also a solid choice, especially banker bets. Video poker can be good too, but only if the paytable is decent and you know what you’re doing. For me, blackjack and baccarat are usually the safest picks when it comes to better odds.
