Imagine there would be a skill game that is possible to beat long term playing against the dealer/casino. Would it be profitable overall for a casino to offer something like that? I guess the edges have to be super thin....

Thoughts?

I think, to some extent, poker or even blackjack can be called such a game of skill. But the fact is that there are so few "skillful" that the casino is not threatened with anything. Even if the casino is threatened with something, they can block your account at any time and continue their activities calmly.

Although all casino games are luck based there are a few where player skill can make a difference, namely, Blackjack and baccarat. A skilled Blackjack player can reduce the house odds to a small % thereby using their skill to take home cash...

The problem is that blackjack is monitored and when they notice that you are a skilled player, they remove you from the game.

Video poker machines set to 100%+ RTP (set via the pay tables), you need skill at the game to hit that "guaranteed" profit.

You're asking if the casinos would run a game that they lost money on. Unless the people playing there wanted to pay the casinos utility bills and rent another way, probably not. It's why you'll get banned from playing blackjack but not the rest of the casino.

Blackjack can be done profitably but you'll be stopped quickly because once they recognize you're counting cards, you're donezo. The floor knows what the count on all of the tables are, so they'll know exactly when you vary your play.

The highest RTP I've ever heard of in practice was 99.94 and that was with PERFECT play on Jacks or Better.

Yes i am aware of Blackjack. Basically i thought of a new, difficult game that would be beatable in the long run but most players who attempt wouldn't. So it would be still profitable for the casino overall to offer it.

I think besides skills you need a considerable bankroll to play at the maximum bet. I would say that blackjack is the most relevant option for a casino game that can bring you profit thanks to your skills, experience and bankroll management.

Casinos can offer most games, even with skill, they keep an edge.
So in the long run, most people are just having fun and have no skills,
and the casino makes money on any and every game. Plenty of people win money, but more lose in the long run.

yes , your best bet is blackjack , depending on the rules for splitting and double down , etc . the skill part involves completely staying away from casino games !

Представете си, че има игра на умения, която е възможно да се победи в дългосрочен план, играейки срещу дилъра/казиното. Би ли било печелившо като цяло за едно казино да предлага нещо подобно? Предполагам, че границите трябва да са супер тънки...
have not seen anything like this because the casino always wins in the long run unlike poker so play casino for fun. It is unlikely that if there is such a game the casino will like it but still there are different strategies in some casino games and if you apply them successfully and bet small amounts of it and know when to stand up this will be good for you

Yeah true I agree with you on the first part. However you make it sound like its possible to win constantly in casino games by betting small amounts and knowing when to stop. I disagree on that.

I think there are literally only a few people who can make money playing casino games. That's why I think casinos can offer players a wide variety of game options, since probably less than 1% of players could potentially make money from it. I don't think that this 1% poses any threat to the casino.

Long term it would be very expensive for the player also. He would pay more and more and if he was winning it would be ok, but if he didn't succeedto be profitable the edge of the casino would give him hard time.

didn't say you can always play in the casino, but I have a winning streak of a whole month with small winnings. There are different strategies and I don't need to list them. I'll just give a joker - Take the bonuses they offer, and if you hit something good on slots, get up right away. There are no conditions for rolling over the deposit, though.

If it is profitable, I think the specialists will calculate everything and the game will be available to visitors. The casino reserves the right to stop offering certain games depending on the circumstances. In fact, the casino always sets the rules and has the right to change them, so the advantage is always on its side.

Poker is probably the clearest example because decisions affect the result over time, even though luck still matters in individual hands. Blackjack also includes an element of skill when a player follows basic strategy, but it cannot remove the house advantage completely. That balance between chance and decision-making is what makes these games more interesting to me than games based only on random outcomes.

True. But the good news is that by the time they figure you out, you would've made some money already. All you have to do is go somewhere else.

I know quite a few players, but I don't know anyone who could consistently make money playing video poker.

That game would likely crowd out other games, and be a net opportunity cost for any casino. Seems unlikely to me.

I think it's something that never going to happen. Actually playing cash game poker against other players, must be an edge for skilled pro over recreational. But it is not like that. The rake is so absurd on any casino, and there is no way to be profitable if you no running as a goat.
