Hey folks,

I’ve heard that cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin can be used to make payments in online casinos. Have you ever tried using crypto personally? Would you recommend it over traditional money payments? Also, do any offline casinos accept cryptocurrency? I’m guessing not, but please correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m considering using crypto to add funds to my WPT Global account, so I’d love to hear about your experiences.

I used it once to put some money on GG. I found the service fees (from where I had my crypto) extremely high, so I haven't done it again.

Some sites are indeed accepting cryptocurrencies now. I deposited some bitcoins in one of them (Don't want to advertise), but it was a rip off. The fee was too high and I'm not even sure who charged it, the site, the wallet or both. So obviously, I'm very far from recommending it.
As to offline casinos, I really have no idea.
If you want to deposit some crypto in WPT, make sure you check with both sides what the fees would be.

Good luck man!

I used cryptocurrencies to top up my balance on several poker sites. Specifically, on ACR and Betonline. But these sites also offer casino games, so I could use these funds to play if I wanted to. I think there are a lot of online casinos that accept cryptocurrency now. Of course, not all of them are reliable, but I think you can find something worthwhile if you need to.

Cryptocurrency casino revenues estimated at $80 billion.Crypto casino sites are blocked in many countries, including the US, China and the UK, but they remain accessible via VPN and mirror resources.Unlike regulated platforms, crypto casinos often do not require identity verification and do not set limits.

Depending where you live crypto may be one of the only ways to make deposits and withdrawals.

Seems seemless, but you would always have the risk of fluctuations in the price of crypto.

I mean honestly, after recent developments in India, it looks to me that Crypto would the only way forward.

i've used crypto on wpt global and a couple other sites. honestly, it’s super smooth, but just a heads up: never send crypto directly from an exchange (like coinbase or binance) to the casino wallet. most of those exchanges hate gambling and might freeze your account. buy it on your exchange, send it to a personal wallet (like exodus or trust wallet), and then deposit it from there. saves you a ton of potential headaches

I dont think that live casino will use crypto anytime soon specially how volatile it is...

Well they could use usdt which does not fluctuate that much. It's basically always $1=1usdt. But most casinos probably still won't because of legal of regulation issues.

Hey Rahul!
I’d definitely recommend crypto over traditional methods for online gaming, mainly because withdrawals are significantly faster and you don't have to deal with bank blocks on gambling transactions.
A quick tip: if you use crypto for WPT Global, consider using stablecoins (like USDT) or low-fee coins (like LTC) instead of BTC to avoid high network gas fees and price volatility.
As for offline casinos—a few in Vegas (like Resorts World) are starting to integrate crypto kiosks, but cash and chips still rule the physical floors for now!

I’ve used crypto for online poker, and the transactions can be pretty convenient once you understand the process. For me, though, I still prefer traditional payments when they’re available because they feel simpler.
