Do you dress up when you go to the casino, or is it just another night out?

No effort at all. Absolutely none.
I wear whatever is comfortable. A casino is not a place where wearing nice clothes will give you a better chance of winning.
I wonder what a modern casino would look like if players' chances depended on how extravagantly they dressed

Me personally I definitely dress up. Suddenly I look like James Bond with a nice and very expensive suit.

Jokes aside, i basically only play Casinos online so no reason to dress up. I actually dress down playing in my underwear.
I'd like to take this opportunity to ask you again to stop sending me pictures of you playing online.

Everyday clothes. Nothing unusual or special. Although, if, for example, a nice establishment had a dress code, I probably wouldn't mind.

It really depends on the country. In Vegas, nobody cares if you are in a t-shirt and shorts at the slots. But here in Europe, some of the older venues still have a strict dress code especially in the evenings. I once had to borrow a jacket from a cloakroom just to get past the entrance, which was a pretty awkward experience 👔

"Popping to the shop" is my new favourite saying thank you.

If I'm going for poker I'm probably going in a hoodie and sweatpants. When I was younger and my friends and I went to the casino as a night out I was normally dressed up in my "going out clothes" and then we decided what we wanted to do that night which had us ending up at the casino but I wouldn't "dress up" to go to the casino, but that could partially be because we never really planned to go to the casino ahead of time.

Alternatively I might have just dressed better when I was younger and now I'm just a grumpy old hermit who loves his sweats.

On special occasions I'll wear a nice frock with some special undergarments.

It depends on the type of casino... the one I went to on a cruise ship was super casual.

Hoodies and sneakers are mine. Honestly, in my wardrobe, apart from hoodies and sneakers, there is almost nothing :)
For me, the main thing is that it is comfortable. everything else does not matter.

depends on where it is, in vegas I like to be dressed up like I'm Chris Ferguson, suit and nice shoes with a nice Stetson,
same with most poker rooms. But at the local casino, I dress casually but always make sure I have a long-sleeved shirt on,
I get cold in most of them. I see most people wearing shorts and a t-shirt with flip flops, but some people enjoy going to dinner there
or the bar, etc., and dress up a little.

You're the reason I wear the special undergarments. ;)

I’ve noticed some people still make an effort — shirts, jackets, smart shoes — while others turn up in hoodies and trainers like they’re popping to the shop.

Personally, it feels like casinos used to have more of a “dress for the occasion” vibe, but maybe that’s changed.

So I’m curious:
Do you dress differently for a casino than you would anywhere else?
Does it depend on cash vs poker, time of day, or the venue?
Ever been turned away (or felt out of place) because of what you were wearing?

Interested to hear what people think — especially how it compares across different casinos and countries.
I don't have a special suit for gambling. Although I mostly play in casinos only online, at home. But I think that if there was a need, I would be ready to make such sacrifices and wear a suit. Especially if someone financed my game.

I never give it any thought as to what to wear, so the short answer is no. I have stepped it up little when I play a bigger tournament where cameras are present. I don't want to look like a total hobo...

I would say in general if I go out -out I somewhat dress up even if just smart casual.

And use the expensive versace aftershave 😆
