Casino games like slots, roulette, and similar formats are pure luck. Blackjack, bacarrat and other games that involves your decision making are skill-based. That's my take.
bacarrat has "skill based decisions "?! i don't quite follow that claim , unless the skill is to never place a bet !

poker and blackjack have experts that can win consistently in the long run . virtually no chance of that in any other casino activity , unless you are the house !

It's all relative. online poker is more about luck. Live poker is more about skill. In all other casino games, the player's skill is not as important as luck.

I think it depends on the game. Some games give you meaningful decisions, like blackjack or poker, while slots and roulette are mostly about luck. Skill can improve your decisions, but it can never completely remove the element of chance.

Do you believe casino games are mostly about luck, or does skill play an important role?

In fact, skill does play an important role, but only in a very few casino games like craps and especially blackjack.
However, there are some "very disciplined" people who are able to make some money even in a pure gambling games like roulette, sometimes even slots.

Skill can make the outcomes less bad, but you need to be really lucky with timing to out run the house edge.
