Do you know that everything in a casino from set up to lighting, even dressing of staff has a certain effect on player's?
Those near misses in slots or any other game too all affects your brain in a certain way hence you will only walk out when losing but when winning most of the time you play till you lose

I don't know for sure, but I assume that's exactly how it is. I think marketers try to maximize everything that can somehow affect revenue, from scents and lighting to the makeup of their employees.

I completely agree. casinos are designed to keep players engaged for as long as possible. The best way to beat the system is not to chase losses or get carried away by wins.

If you choose to play, set a strict budget and a time limit before you start, and never exceed either one. Once you've reached your win target or your loss limit, walk away immediately. Treat it as entertainment, not a way to make money. That's one of the few strategies that consistently works in the long run.

Casinos are open for "Profitable business". And operating one cost hundreds of millions of dollars. So it's only undertandable that they use whatever they can to come up on top.

I don't see casinos as very welcoming places. I would like to see fancier decor, more of luxury design, like a place where people would dress their best and spend the night sipping coctails. I want to feel rich when loosing money. :D Have you been to any casinos that have the old World luxury style? I guess Monte-Carlo would be stylish.

There’s no doubt that every detail matters when studying human psychology. That may be true, but I can’t say for sure. It seems to me that the atmosphere of a casino doesn’t affect my decisions about whether to keep playing or leave.

Everything is arranged so that you spend as much money as possible. The longer you stay in the casino, the more chances that your pockets will be empty. Of course, the casino administration takes all necessary measures for this. The main thing is that everything is within the law.

That's poor money management. Most people don't have a plan...you know the saying, "Failure to plan is planning to fail". As a recreational gambler or poker player, you should set a budget for each session...and stick to it...lose your initial stake...leave...if you double your initial stake, leave.

It's clear that every element in the casino, from the lighting to the lack of clocks, and yes, even the carpets, is carefully planned to create an environment conducive to gambling. Some believe that rug design, often seen as a purely aesthetic choice, plays a more sinister role. Some argue that intricate patterns and bright colors can make visitors look up from the floor and focus on the slot machines or tables, thereby increasing their chances of winning.

In most cases, players don't notice this influence. But in fact, it is there and in combination, all these nuances give the appropriate effect.
