Did you make $460 the last time you played poker?
The logical answer would be poker, then! Good luck to you, Yannick!🙂🍀

Yes I did at that moment. But the last time (shortly after seeking advices) from today. I made 50$ profit which is still pretty decent considering I bought short from every other player at the table. I know this as a fact because the table opened as I joined (with 7 other players) and the dealer said every starting stack out loud!

Is it the standard way to do it? I thought it was giving me some kind of disadvantage...

Honestly, if you already crushed the 1/2 poker table last time, I’d probably stick with poker for most of the session and maybe keep a small side bankroll for table games later in the night. With $150, poker at least gives you some level of control compared to pure house-edge games.

If you do jump onto casino tables, I’d personally lean blackjack or baccarat over roulette/craps just for bankroll longevity. EZ Baccarat can actually be pretty chill if you avoid chasing side bets. I was reading through some table game breakdowns here https://www.pokerlistings.com/casino-games/table-games recently and it’s a good reminder how much variance changes depending on the game and bet selection.

Main thing is probably deciding whether you want the best chance to grind for hours or take a shot at a bigger quick win. Those usually lead to very different choices.

Yeah, honestly poker makes the most sense here, especially since he already proved he can profit at those stakes. With only $150, table games can burn through the bankroll surprisingly fast if variance turns against you early.

And I agree with your second point too- sometimes the smartest move is just waiting until you’ve got a bigger budget so you can actually enjoy the session instead of feeling pressured by every hand or spin.

Thank you so much for taking time to write an exhaustive post like that. I do really appreciate it and it's even more useful to read it now as a reminder because I'm going again next tuesday. I have now full confidence in my skills with every kind of stack I might start with without falling into overconfidence.

Well, I’ve never set foot in a brick-and-mortar casino in my life—they’re not allowed in Brazil. I think it must be an interesting experience, and you seem to have a plan for playing. That’s good, and things must be quite different in a live casino. Good luck with the games and your bets, and when you get rich, I’ll take a piece of the pie! 🤣! Hugs!

Stick with poker mate ! When I play at Fallsview they usually only have $10 /$10 tables with $300 min.buy -in and I think it was $1000 max for me closest casino 2 hours plus away I only go once every couple of years, have gone 7 times most won $2700 in 6 hours, havn't had a losing session in my 7 visits, least profit was $550 0ver 7 hours, must say still not sure I enjoyed it because I was way over the amount I like to gamble ,I'm used to playing for stakes where if you lose the whole night you might lose $50 bucks so playing way above my weight with a bunch of strangers really put me through the grinder and made me know for sure I could never be a pro and play for real stakes, when I leave there I'm just exhausted and really just relieved I didn"t go broke, forget any of the other games unless you just want to donate to the casino, take your poker winnings and run !!🙂

Poker would give you the best chance to win…you may play against players of varying skill levels and get to pick and choose which hands to play, and you have the ability to win with the worst hand…you can’t bluff the blackjack dealer or the roulette ball.

The best option to invest that money is playing poker; I think that by selecting the tables well you would have more chances of winning money.

If I were you, I’d split my bankroll into two parts. First, I’d go play $50 on roulette or slots. If I won $150 playing roulette or slots, I’d stop and use the winnings to play poker. That way, I’d take the psychological pressure off myself, knowing I wouldn’t leave the casino with a loss. 😉

If you have already made profits from poker then this is the most entertaining choise!

I only know poker well, so it is an easy choice. I would need to prepare for another game otherwise.

You mentioned your specific usd profit from last time, so that suggests to me you might want to build on that form.

With only $150, I’d probably choose poker too, but I’d play pretty carefully. I like that my decisions matter more there, even though the smaller bankroll makes things tricky.
