No, those are two separate things. The Quality Posts happens after so many quality posts overall in the casino forum. The quality thread, you need to follow the guidelines to claim as laid out in the VIP Awards thread. Once your quality thread meets the criteria, you would claim your chips in your personal VIP thread.
