Which tournament would you choose?

You find yourself at a casino with a friend who's registered in a poker tourney starting soon, but you're not.
There re 2 casino games tourneys also starting soon.
Instead of just hanging around while he's playing, he proposed that you play one of them and he'd pay for your entry.

Which one would you choose? A slots tournament or a blackjack one? Why?

Blackjack without a doubt. I like card games a lot more than slots

I would choose blackjack.
At least there's some decision-making involved, unlike slot machines, which are completely random. Even though you know that the house still has an advantage, you feel like you have a little more control.

You are totally right.
In blackjack, we have some room to manipulate or at least influence the result of the hands. Let alone that blackjack is a lot more fun to play.

I choose a slot tournament because it's more comfortable for me. A blackjack tournament seems to me to be more of a luck tournament that doesn't depend on me.

I don't play blackjack at any of them, and I don't like slot machines; I prefer playing holdem 100%.

I’d probably choose blackjack. At least there’s a small strategic element involved and your decisions can still influence the outcome a bit.

Slots tournaments feel too passive for my taste. I enjoy games where focus, timing, and discipline matter, even if luck is still part of it.

For me, I would choose to play the poker tourney as well and beat him HU in the end.

Then I would give him the stake back + 50% of my winnings.

It's basically the same scheme as poker, but the strategy is completely different ofc.

Everyone pays the same amount to enter the Blackjack tournament so all the players at the table start with an equal amount of chips.

-The key to winning is having more chips than the other players at the table at the end of the round. Unlike Poker, if the dealer wins, they take your chips. So, a player can have fewer chips than they had at the beginning of the round yet still have the most amongst the players.

-The player with the most chips at the end of the round advances to the next round.

-Eventually, the players advance to the point where there is only one table playing (which means a final 6 or 7 players).

-This final round determines the winner. If it’s a distributed prize, 1st place will get the highest prize and the others at the final table will receive less.
