Types of Roulette: What's the difference?

I always see people saying one roulette game is better than another, but many don't even know the difference between them. Ultimately, no roulette game changes the fact that the result is completely random. But if you can choose a table with a better edge, why not?

I don't understand much about Roletas... However, there are some where the numbers and cores are square while others are rectangular vertically.
That should make some difference when betting... 🤨🤔😅

There are three main types of roulette: European, French, and American,
The biggest difference between them lies in the number of zeroes and the house edge
European and French roulette both feature a single green zero (0), which gives the house a relatively low advantage of 2.7%.
However, French roulette is the most player-friendly version because special rules like La Partage can cut the house edge down to a low 1.35% on even-money bets.
On the other hand, American roulette adds a double zero (00) to the wheel, bringing the total number of pockets to 38. making it mathematically the hardest version to win.

It's tough to come out ahead at roulette with 1 zero . Now they have 3 zeros in Las Vegas ? That's a joke ..... just say No !

I honestly didn't realize how much difference the roulette variation makes until learning about the house edge. European Roulette seems like the obvious choice over American if you're going to play, especially with the house edge being almost half.
French Roulette is interesting too, especially with La Partage and En Prison giving players a bit more protection on certain bets. I’d probably stick with European or French Roulette rather than the American version. I had no idea the difference ! I would probably just pick a number and if it hits I would be happy and if it doesn't hit then I would most likely just walk away !
