Winning Money on Poker and pulverising on Slots

I admit I dabble in the casino on occasion when I get bored, a little BJ or nickel slots. I'm usually happy to win $2, $3 or $5 and call it quits. I'm pretty risk averse there so if I drop $10 I'll bail.

If I get a bonus (money you can't withdraw unless you clear it first, which is very difficult to do) I'll almost always use it in low variance slots at 888 casino with the sole goal of making it last as long as possible to get as many points as I can towards making it through more levels and getting gold tokens. You get 1.25 points for every $0.25 spin.
I have no illusions about clearing those bonuses, but I have turned a $10 bonus into nearly 1000 $0.25 spins when on a bit of a good run.
 
You can get lucky and win but definitely not a +ev activity.

Budget some amount for entertainment and stop when you reach it and you can have a good time and not destroy your bankroll.

In poker you play against another real person, in slots, you're playing against a computer program.
I am not comfortable playing against a computer program designed to take more than it gives out.

Pretty much all been said above: if you're playing against the house, whether it's on table games like blackjack, roulette and baccarat, or on slots, you are making -EV bets.
Simple as that. You're going to lose in the long run.
 
Never crossed my mind to try online slots. Do like wanderin through a casino, relaxing, visiting with family or friends, having a few drinks, people watching & playing some slots. It's called entertainment & you do it with money you can afford to lose. You come out ahead enjoy it because the house wins in the end.
 
In the past, I often took a great interest in stakes and casinos. lost a lot of money. To win something, I looked for strategies to win. But nothing. There are no strategies in casinos and stakes. Only luck, which is less than a penny. So, when the next time decide to lower the money, think about the fact that in poker there is a much higher chance of doubling the bank.

We just have to understand that there is no easy money especially in casinos.
Casino made give units while the remaining 99% lose.I think that we should take for the rule every time the money that we are willing to spend in the casino to spend better on a more expensive tournament and likely a lot more that we will be in the money
 
Yeah, I think the best move is to separate the two completely. If I win at poker, I wouldn’t use that money to play slots afterwards, because it’s easy to think “I’m playing with winnings” and then give it all back. Setting a hard limit or simply not entering the casino section is probably the cleanest solution.
