Most of us know Solitaire as a relaxing card game, but there’s also a casino-style version called Vegas Solitaire.

Instead of just trying to win the game, you play with a starting bankroll and try to finish in profit. The rules make every card choice feel a little more important.

Would you actually play Solitaire for real money if an online casino offered it, or would you rather keep Solitaire completely free? 👀

I think Solitaire games played against the computer are different from traditional card games. In the end, the outcome depends on the game’s programming and algorithms. So I don’t see them as suitable for playing with real money if the goal is to make a decent profit. For me, Solitaire is better kept as a free game for entertainment rather than risking money on it.

I agree. With computer-based Solitaire, you’re basically trusting the game’s programming, so I wouldn’t treat it as a money-making opportunity. I’d rather keep Solitaire free and play it just for fun.

Never thought of that, but it's not a bad idea actually. I think I might try it if it becomes available.

I used to play offline solitaire a lot; it was a built-in game in older versions of Windows. I do remember, though, that it dealt parties that couldn't be solved countless times. So I definitely wouldn't play a game like that for money.

I’ve only ever played free solitaire. But I think that, if you really want to, you can turn any game into one played for money. At the very least, back in our youth, my friends and I used to play for money on almost anything—from bicycle races to table tennis.

Nah I'd pass tbh. Solitaire is meant to be a chill game to play when you're bored or passing time, adding real money to it just ruins the vibe. Plus Vegas Solitaire math is heavily stacked in the house's favor since so many hands are unwinnable right off the deal regardless of skill.

I've never seen it before, but I wouldn't say no to it, I'm not really good at it but I enjoy playing it

Same here, I’m not great at Solitaire either, but I still enjoy it when I’m just killing time. Would you actually try the Vegas version if you got the chance?

Yeah, I can see why adding money could ruin the relaxing part of Solitaire. I’d probably feel the same if I knew the deal was unwinnable. Have you played Vegas Solitaire before?

That’s true, people can turn almost anything into a money game. I’ve heard plenty of stories like that from school days. What’s the strangest thing you ever played for money?

I remember those old Windows Solitaire days too. If some deals were impossible from the start, I’d definitely hesitate to put money on it. Did you ever actually finish many games?

I’d probably give it a try too, just out of curiosity. The idea of turning Solitaire into a casino game is pretty unusual. Would you play it for fun or actually risk money?

Normally when I'm in a casino, I don't play for fun. But I don't play slots, roulette or anything like that. Just poker or blackjack.

It's ok bro. That's why we have this great forum. We can ask anything we want and respond just the same.

In fact, I have a question for you 😉.
