when someone sits in front of you at a black Jack table and doesn't play optimal (I.e. they stand when they should have it and you bust because of that very card).

I'm on the fence myself because I would hate to lose money, but on the other hand, player should be allowed to play how they want to.

I think it's a question of table etiquette. We're pretty familiar with something similar in poker, when you're in UTG waiting for the big blind and players deliberately stall so that you get more value in the big blind position. So yes, in the case of blackjack, getting angry is a completely appropriate reaction.

I try to think it doesnt matter how bad they play, and not worry about it.

If it gets too bad I just move tables.

Negative emotions only harm you. Anger makes you vulnerable, and it is not in your best interest to be angry :)

I would never get angry if the next card busted me, nor would I thank the other player if it gave me 21. It really has no effect at all on your chances. I have however seen people get mad at someone for making an incorrect play, and I reacted very childishly in response.

Around 30 years ago when I was in my early 40s I was playing blackjack down at Foxwoods. An older gentleman split tens. That is a play you never should unless you are counting and the count is very very high. Well I was counting (Wong Halves Doubled) so I knew it wasn't the correct play, and that the gentleman wasn't really aware of basic strategy. Well this jackass blowhard started insulting and berating this nice older man for being stupid.

Back then, in my younger days, I could be more than a little self-destructive when I got ticked off about something. Well, that blowhard ticked me off. So any time I got a pair of tens I'd split them, regardless of the count in order to stick it to the blowhard and tick him off. I really don't remember whether the blowhard left in disgust or not but I definitely enjoyed doing it. :)

If I play BJ I will watch the table to get an idea of how the other players are playing, if they play like they don't know what they are doing, then I will go to another table and do the same. If the players are playing optimally then I will join the table.

Your right, everyone can play their money like they want, but it will be be your business when you're playing BJ and it starts to cost you money when they play like morons.

I get up and move to another table. Easy!

Take a group of folks or family that know how to play and take up a whole table. Results are always better! :)

I only play online and I don't get nervous about my opponents' game. If I had been nervous about it, I don't think I would be here today. Anger and stress are more harmful to your health than you might think.

If I run into those players every day, you just have to be patient, and play aggressive with a strong hand, and be careful because those players are very lucky, everything connects, you have to take them by surprise, it doesn't always work, but battles are won by fighting.

Usually I just don't care, I focus on being patient and trying to enjoy the game in any way I can :)

If the other players try to help and make suggestions, I think the player in the last position should cooperate. If they don't, you're right, they're entitled to play their game the way they want, but I would leave that table for sure.

Yes, that sounds like a perfect scenario to be annoyed. I felt slightly annoyed when I imagined it.

I try not to care, but it’s hard not to get tilted when third base hits on a 16 against a dealer 6 and takes the dealer's bust card. If it bothers me too much I just move to a different table or go play heads up with the dealer.
