I read online that

"Slot machine chairs are among the most ergonomically advanced furniture items in the world. They are engineered at precise angles, with perfect lumbar support and footrests, specifically designed to prevent blood pooling in the legs. By eliminating physical discomfort, the chairs allow players to sit in a trance-like state for hours without feeling the physical need to stand up and stretch."

Did you know that? I was unaware but makes total sense given that casinos do everything in their power so people keep playing.

Not surprising, given that everything from social media algorithms to how items and sections are arranged in a supermarket have been engineered to take advantage of human traits and maximize engagement and profits.

I didn’t know that either. 😂 It’s funny how even the chair is designed to make you comfortable enough to keep playing, so maybe the smartest move is to stand up before the chair convinces you to stay another hour!

Interesting and completely believable !! I don't think they are the perfect fit for a 5 foot person
like myself but for average height people they are nice !!

relax ,feel comfortable, and make yourself at home , and whatever you do , please don't pay attention to how your cash is slowly vanishing !

Thanks for the input guys. Yeah makes perfect Sense Casinos would do this so their customers feel comfortable and stay longer which is profitable for the casino.

The idea is clear: provide comfort to fool us and take all our money. The innovation is simple.

Think someone was exaggerating a bit on that quote tbh. High end modern casinos definitely invest in decent seating so you don't leave early, but calling them the "most ergonomically advanced furniture in the world" is a massive stretch.
