This is really hard to answer specifically. I think my transition from 1/2 to 2/4 NL on FT back in 2009 was the most difficult hurdle.
When you're ready to move up to a new limit. My advice is to make sure you are fully bankrolled and committed to the move. Then do it. And stick to it. There's bound to be some growing pains at first while you get used to the new amts and new game.

if you don't mind, I have some specific questions:

1. Transition from $1/$2 to $2/$4: Did you find the higher aggression hard to deal with? Regs were less predictable? Fewer fish? Regs who adjusted quickly?

2. Related to 1, how did you overcome your problems at that level? Did you identify leaks? Were you folding too often in big pots? Not bluffing enough? Bluffing too much? Being unbalanced in certain spots?

3. Do you use HEM to break down players' ranges and then construct ranges to counter them?

Look again at the OP.

I'll tell you a little story.

Whenever I copy/paste a story that has been formatted already, the text comes in with no paragraph breaks in the "reply to thread" window. So I go through the text and put in breaks only to find that when I post it, the formatting already took care of breaks. So now I've got a piece with 3 or 4 breaks instead of one on each paragraph.

Big ol gaps between each paragraph.

I have no idea why a person would deliberatly put multiple paragraph breaks in on their own volition.

I dunno why the post appears the way it does, maybe he just puts big spaces in between paragraphs. He is a real guy and a real poker player.

He is certainly trying to get his name out, as he coaches, does videos, articles and I think has an ebook(s) out as well etc. and poker is his business. But he has a right to post any way he wants. He could be posting the same introduction on multiple forums - as I suspect he is - and doing the copy and paste, but so far no crime commuted and no breaking of any forum rules that I can see. (I would like to see a bit more input in exchange for the free advertising, like the other pros that get to let people here know they are offering stuff have done, lets wait and see...)

Actually a very cool story. Did you start in the micro's when you started cash or just straight into 200NL? How "beatable" do you think the low-mid stakes i.e 50-600NL, are nowadays?

Whitespace is your friend

There's nothing worse than trying to read lines of text all packed together. Ok, maybe it would be fine with one less line break.

I started with .10/.25 back on party poker.
The games get tougher every year. But every level is "beatable" depending on your skill level.

Thanks, yeah, I'm not sure why the sound is so spotty.
I think I was a little nervious when doing this. I (hopefully) don't sound this dorky in real life.

I havent had a chance yet to listen - watch - the interview, but have this thread subscribed and will have some time next week when I get back to watch it.

But, bad news.... Being a music producer and also often my own engineer, I have done thousands of hours of recording over the last 30 years. And, unless you spoke different then you normally do, you sound on tape the way you sound in life...... (But everyone thinks their own voice sounds dorky if they are not use to hearing it, for the rest of us its just your voice...lol) Skype does sometimes have an influence, but it pretty much how you sound.

I have some interesting stories of people who complained that I used "weird" effect on their voice, when they just had never heard their voice on tape....

In your mind, is what you do difficult? This comes back to creativity vs consistency. Do you think that you do a bunch of relatively simple stuff but do it really well or do you think you do some quite complex stuff with maybe a limited degree of success?

Looking back, with all you know now, how tough was 1/2?

Whats your biggest tip in general?
