I feel poker is 80% luck .. the other 20% is reading players and how you play but you cant win consistantly without getting cards. The big big big pots are won when you get really lucky. Point and case .. your biggest loses are bad beats when someone else gets really really lucky ... think about it.

Thought about it and I disagree, stick around for a while and read and you might change your mind. There is some luck to poker, just like there is luck that you don't get hit by another car on your way to work. But you take what you are given and go with it, it isn't bad luck that you are dealt AA and lose to 72o when AIPF, it is the law of average.

Either way, the post has nothing to do with the thread, so just end it.

I don't filter out hands.

I had a very long break post BF where I played zero hands. Then I started playing part time ~12k hands a month.

However I've only played about 10k hands over the past 3 months as I've been doing a lot of coaching and finishing up my latest project.

These are all the hands.

You can see his filter in the HEM at the top.

Its a post BF date, so, for a US player, obv, volume will be an issue...

I wouldn't really call it beat up, 44 hands is nothing, and he is still way above EV, so I'm guessing in those 44 hands, something like AA<AK or the like.

I think it was QQ< A7 all in pre. Want a free strategy tip? Don't ever 5-bet shove A7o vs a guy whom you have 30 hands of lifetime history with.

Exceptional story, very inspiring..! I think that less then 5% will ever achieve only 60% of your story

Now my question:
- How did you start at the pokertables? Did you read books? Or did you got training or.. How and where did you learn the math, strats and so on..
-And when you did beat the 2NL, and moved up, I suppose you know all the math so what extra did you do?

Why am I asking this: I'm starting again in poker and I'm trying to find out the decent basics. It goes fine now at the 2NL tables with always profit at the end of the sessions, but learning from your own mistakes is difficult because you sometimes don't know it is a mistake.
And how do you know that there are still things you dont know and should know?

Hey! Thanks! Yes, I read a ton of books. They are mostly outdated by now I think but Harrington on Hold'em's books really opened my eyes. After that, your best bet is to learn from others. You NEED someone (better than you) to talk strategy with go over hhs, etc, or you're never going to fully develop to what you can become.
