as for an update. Im going to have to put an end to this for now until I can rebuild my main BR. Which I lost and now I have to start over from my FR winnings....

I started with $50 on FT and currently on $130 playing mostly the $2 SNG, but im still down $20 overall from my Party and Star losses. Would of been up more if you didnt bust my pocket jacks the other day, gonna avoid any games with you in from now on.

It's surely a hard task to take $2 and turn it into $100 like you hoped. Is the $35 from the original $2? I'm confused since you said above you lost it and would have to quit. Or did you make a comeback of sorts?

finally got my $2 so I can give it a go(ok I had $1.17) currently have $2.79 on my second session.

Edit: make that $3.77 at the end of the session

No, I had started to build a BR from $2 to about $20 that I sent to a friend so he could get his BR started in exchange for cash. This left me with about $30 after donking away nearly $50 of it in previous games and bad runs. So, I tried to restart the challenge from the $30. I lost about $10 trying to make something work but nothing happened. So, I started playing SnGs to rebuild my BR but I had a bad run. I did manage to make $6 from a freeroll and when my BR dropped down to that point, I had lost my original BR and was now playing on my freeroll earnings.

BTW, I do know about proper BRM and everything. I follow it sometimes...and sometimes I just like to play whatever. My BR has had a lot of up and down swings, sometimes because of bad runs, other times because of my choices.

So, now my BR has officially been started from $0 to where it is now.

No, I don't doubt that. I like that that you were trying something different here. Someone who made that much from freerolls, I assume knows and applies a fair deal of some sort of decent bankroll management and poker skill.

No sir I think I will stick to 10 man sit n gos and mtt. Sounds like a interesting challenge I must admit. Im glad Im not bored with poker yet because hell thats all I do is poker and my 2 other jobs. So in other words I work all the time.. Fun stuff.. My Break is coming up in a few weeks Christmas!!!

ok just hit my third table, BR now $5.03, this is technally(sp) from $0, winning £1.17 in holdem and omaha(hi)(god knows how as I have very little idea about what I was doing) freerolls. and the rest on the $0.01 & $0.02 6 seater tables.

Must admit this is my first time taking cash games seriously, I used to hate them and only played SNG's.

While I do try to follow proper BRM most of the time, i look at my bankroll a bit differently. I dont restrict myself and say 'I can only play this percentage of my BR at a certain time' or 'I need X-amount of money before I move up a level.' My BR isnt my source of income, it doesnt pay my bills, so if I dont treat it as such. If I lose my BR, its not the end of the world for me. I play to improve my game, but its more of a hobby than anything else and I like to have a little fun with it. So, I have no problems putting half of my BR on line to play in a game if I feel like it. And I have no problems have to grind it out at the lower tables just to build it back up if I take a huge downswing. I'd say about 95% I'll follow proper BRM and the other 5% of the time im like 'eff it' and i'll play whatever. If it increases, yay. If it drops...then, oh well i'll just have to rebuild.

I finally restarted mine. I've only played 3 games so far, havent had any really big wins...just a little better than a double up on my buy in usually. Oh, well. its a slow and steady climb.
