No stress at all, I love to play this game. When I play I might be angry on myself because I made poor decision but stressed never.

I like to play at a limit thats gets adrenaline flowing but before the stress kicks in.Like in a freeroll or 50c game I lose interest fast ,$10 game starts the adrenaline and $50 online would be out of my league .Live I fell good at $120 buy-in.

How did I come up with that? I don't remember where I saw it, but it is documented that the most consistent/profitable MTT Specialist on avg. will cash only 30% of the time. Make the final table 15% of the time, and win only 1.5% of the time.

With that said, don't ever bet the house with a 15% chance for a solid return. along with a 30% chance to break even.

I personally start to feel uncomfortable with a buy-in more than $25.

I agree with most replies above. Don't play above the limits of what your bankroll allows you. Consider about 50 max buyins for cash and 100 MTT buyins!

I do that to myself on occasion . It happens when I play out of my BRM limits . It affects my play in a negative way and I usually lose . If you stay in the limits of your BRM you play loose and that generally generates good results . Good luck

only time i feel stressed is if im tilting and people are 3b jamming me like crazy putting me in spots with hands like aj a10 pocket pairs 4-7

I haven't reached a stressful level of a buy-in yet. I know how much I can loose. My biggest buy-in was only $565. I lost.

I believe that one of the things you need to succeed in poker is the ability to disconnect yourself from the money aspect, and think along the lines of Big Blinds and buyins instead. Your play shouldnt differ too much whether you are playing for 40 or 4000 USD.

I agree, but I have only played 2 years. I think it will take me time to disconnect like you said.

My advice would be to try out for a couple days/weeks playing under your normal level. Focus instead on your game and keep track of how you play. Play for the sake of getting better. It is all about odds, and no matter how great you are, you will lose if you stake 50% of your buyin on MTTs.

If you stick to your bankroll and smart money management then you shouldn't
feel stress at the poker table.

People feel stressed when they can't afford to lose their buyin.

It is really important to be emotionally disconnected from the game.
