It happened to me with sports betting, everything was great in poker and what I won in poker I lost in sports betting, fortunately I got back on the right track, with discipline everything can be done

yes, it is better not to get involved with betting and other gambling - it is an abyss, a debt pit

in my student years I was addicted to betting, I lived so probably more than 10 years, then one day I decided to record the winnings and losses for the year of the game, I was very dissatisfied with the result, I promised myself not to make any more predictions for money, I keep a promise! Passion is so evil (

It's great to recognize things that are detrimental to your success and eliminate them as soon as possible... still (IMO) with good bankroll management and if you put the work into studying sports betting/ casino/ etc. you can be successful there too... but again, it's always better to be a 'master' of one type of gambling then be average at many!

GLGL all with your projects $$$

It's all a game of luck but the house is always gonna win so best advice is to stay well clear of all and any casino games. At least with poker you have some control over what happens

I had a good time playing freerolls, building a modest bankroll, but with good management, I managed to play some micro tournaments every day and always grow little by little.
I think 1 year ago I started to deceive myself with sports betting and blackjack and that was the beginning of the end of what took me so long to build (almost 4 years).
I'm in an endless loop of winning a little bit at poker and losing it all at betting and blackjack.
on the last day of the year i lost all my bankroll on party poker, ps and 888 in search of a goal. and he didn't come out.
I don't blame the betting or blackjack.
but each one of us has to accept that certain things were not made for us to progress (I only say in my case).
this morning i lost the last pennies i had on gg in blackjack.
even though it's too late for me, I commit myself from today not to get involved with betting or games of chance and slowly I'm going to recover my bankroll through the one that lifted me up and made me dream that one day I could change my life.
As of today I'm just a poker player and nothing more.
thank you for being able to vent here among friends.
PS: I don't blame any of the games, I just recognize that they aren't for me.:cool::cool:
Clearly, you have no one to blame but yourself. That's fair. But it's good that you at least now understand it and it's good that you're ready to start all over again. Step by step, you will be able to recover the lost and achieve better results. But take your time, be patient.

I feel, self recognition is a big step towards learning. If you've done it once, you already know the way, and if you've already tripped over a stone, now you know where it is.
May your bankroll rise to the stars!!! I learned so much about life through poker and it was part of so many personal processes in every moment of my life that today I just have to thank...

What's the point in playing games with negative expectation if you're consistently winning at poker? just try to calmly think about it and you will understand everything if you cannot control it yourself, try to solve this problem with a psychologist

Well I recently noticed that now a lot of poker rooms (including Pokerstars) try to incite their poker players to start with sport betting. They give a lot of free bets and so on. I don't buy it. I think that if you start betting it will be very addictive and of course very tricky to stop with it. So, after your bad choices, you take now the right decision. I wish you a great come back at the poker tables. Enjoy your game, play seriously and you will build a nice bankroll one more time.

I also had that same impression, you have to be very careful with these traps.
thanks for the support.
