Vegas - Live
Canada - online

I dont think there is anywhere better in the world than Vegas for live poker action----

online, unfortunately the US had taken away pokerstars, fulltilt--- aka the poker sites with the most traffic

I've heard that Australia is a good place to play in casinos. But I still think that for live poker USA is the best place.. online poker could be any place that has internet connection, pretty much any place.

Just for the record, no tax is payable on gambling winnings (which includes poker) in the UK. And there is no restriction on online poker playing.

Australia might change with the election in a few months. If the conservative party win they POSSIBLY (no idea on odds) might ban online poker....
This is pure speculation but there are some retard conservative independent members of parliament who want to do this.

I would say the "states" but I'm sure every country has its own standards. Look at Monaco for example. I know plenty of E.U. (European Union) casinos.. just look for them.

clearly for the live games, usa I the best option but far from it on the online scene, that would go to Canada or uk. ive played some weird poker in different states such a Minnesota and Oklahoma. I know in Minnesota it is illegal to play no limit holdem which was very odd to me

For live poker its defenetly Las Vegas or Monaco. For online poker , I would choose a place with mild climate like the Island of Malta. No problem with regulations and no taxes. Good food , friendly people

Malta? Isn't that the country where the government confiscates your money to pay off the corrupt banking system. Oh, wait a minute, isn't that just every country in the world? :D

Anyways, I guess if you can figure a way to get you money in without making a bank deposit there, I suppose it would be a fine place to play poker maybe.

Depends on the stakes. For your amateur player, Vegas. For your online grinder, wherever it is legal, beautiful outside, and taxes aren't too high...maybe the Bahamas? For pros, Macau.

Live in ireland and travel to the rest of europe to play live. Housing is cheap, beer is good and food is terrible.

I would probably have moved to Canada to play poker, if I had enough money for a house, but first I need to learn English well :)

1. Macao is one of the most densely populated cities in the world and the largest gambling hangout on the whole planet. Here is the largest casino in the world "Venetianets". Walking in the Old City, it's easy to imagine that you are somewhere in Europe (with the amendment for street signs in Chinese) - temples, fortresses and other entourage in stock.
2. Las Vegas is one of the world's largest centers of entertainment and gambling. Numerous casinos, hotels, daily concerts and shows attract tourists from all over the world. In total, in Las Vegas is concentrated more than eighty casinos, several thousand game pavilions, many fashionable hotels.
