Best Country for Poker?

If you could play online poker as in other countries then the United States is the best place but at the moment it only lacks that.

For live poker; definitely the US. While I do play some online, I prefer live casino poker. I find live poker allows you to get a "read" on opponents, and it can be more social. I don't type fast enough to chat when playing online, but I can enjoy the social aspects live.....my mouth works faster than my fingers !!! LOL There are some casinos within a 2 hour drive of my home, but I only play poker when on vacation (sometimes a long weekend). That usually means that I am relaxed, so that I can enjoy the poker yes, even when I lose). While there are some good casino poker rooms in Canada, I prefer the larger poker rooms in the US. I mainly play in Niagara Falls, NY, with yearly trips to Las Vegas and Palm Springs.

Of course USA is the most popular place to play poker, Las Vegas is the capital of poker in my opinion

I think usa has the largest tournaments .....a lot of games casino etc is waiting for you there....LAS vegas.

Canada is many things but tax-free haven isn't one of them... Is there seriously not a gambling tax to host a casino? I think you are lying. "Backroom casinos/poker" is a term invented for gambling places where gambling happens but the hosts don't pay this tax. It's illegal for that reason only.

I think that the paradise for poker is Canada. Canada is a very developed and comfortable country with a high standard of living. Many American poker players are moving to Canada.
